Me again. I'm back. Had a weird thing happen to my mustang. I was going on my lunch break and I rolled my windows down and chilled. Half way through my break I was going to roll my windows up and the car wouldn't start looks like my battery died. To about 10 minutes and i was good. Now later that day I went to start the car drive off and I went to put the car into drive and it just turns off. I put it back into park. Start it back up. Starts fine. Put it into drive turns off. Put it in reverse turns off. Took me about 30 minutes doing it over and over til I was like let me disconnect battery to see what happens. Once I did that I was good to go. That was weird. Anyone ever had this happen? Like a safety feature or something?

I could be a lot of things but I'm thinking malfunctioning transmission or torque converter. Maybe tq. converter solenoid. The 10R80 has been having a lot of issues. If you still have your power train warranty, and you car is not modified, I'd take it to Ford for them to take a look.

Lots and lots of possibilities. To name a few I'd check first.
Failing battery.
Corroded battery terminals.
Crappy ground somewhere.
Failing brake switch.
Neutral safety switch.
Random electronic glitch.
I doubt it's directly transmission related but everything is so interconnected in modern cars it's hard to say definitely not.

Oh, and any codes?

I would lean toward security system issue. Also fob battery good. Mine went goofy when the battery got near dead.
