Hi Everyone,

My automatic transmission is clunking while shifting between park, reverse, neutral and drive. Shifting between park and reverse is especially hard and makes the loudest clunk. What could be wrong? It is a 2019 Mustang GT with just 900 miles.

Thanks to this awesome group!

Not an expert on this but you could try the battery disconnect for 30 mins and relearn technique and see if that helps, or just take it back to the dealer and have them check it out and reflash if necessary.

I had diff bushings installed on mine before I picked the car up from the dealer.

I have since a while back uninstalled the bushings. However at occasions before uninstalling the bushings I had a clunk. I have not yet heard the same clunk and I did uninstall the bushing 2-3 months ago.

Could it be diff related? Thinking if the rear and front bolts for the diff needs to be re-tourqued?

Thanks for sharing that. Totally possible. This started only in the last couple days for me. I’m in the 900 mile mark now, just about to break in. Probably the fittings have become lose now after factory torque.
