Hi Everyone I need a little advice on this possible issue heres some background.

So I have the new 5.0 50th (manual)

I'll be downshifting from 4th to 3rd or from 3rd to 2nd. I'll notice a popping noise or a clunk noise coming from my tranny. I can kind of feel it in my stick shift as well. It seems to happen randomly sometimes the clutch will be completely released and other times it will happen when i'm slowly releasing. Does this sound normal? Or has anyone else noticed the same thing?

I've also noticed that sometimes 2nd gear is hard to get into? Is this because first gear is so steep? Thanks!

Clunking is normal for the MT-82 and 2-piece driveshaft. A lot of slop in the drivetrain.

As for the hard shift, is this during normal or spirited driving? Mine tends to do that when downshifting which I also consider normal for the type of drivetrain on these cars.

I notice it a lot when and going over speed bumps and in/out of driveways. Normal.

Thanks a lot guys. I wasn't too sure about this. I've had other manuals but none as loud and as clunky as this one.

Id say it happens most when I'm shifting around 3500 from 1st to 2nd. It def normal driving. Shifting at higher rpms seems to be a little smoother.
