I'm in Las Vegas right now on vacation and stopped by Shelby America this afternoon and saw the new 2018 Shelby 1000 in ruby red that was just released this week. I have to say its truly beautiful and functional car thay makes the newly refreshed front end actually look good. I took a few pics I can post once i get back home and get them off my camera. Didn't realize the price tag though, whew!
I don't believe any amount of lipstick will make this pig look good. (Shelby not the 18)

No Shelby GT1000 forum so might as well post questions here. Is this strictly a Shelby America Inc special production or a 2018 Ford SVT model? I saw something in it about $169,900 + price of a 2018 Mustang GT so sounds like a SAI enterprise. $220,000 is a chunk of change for a Mustang.

It's all Shelby American (nothing to do with Ford Performance (SVT))

These third party tuner cars no longer excite me at all. Since Ford stepped up their game with the Mustang GT awhile back, and then introduced the insane stable of in house shelbies, the BOSS, (and before that the terminator cobras) I have seen no need to look toward third parties. They had a place in the 90s when the camaro was emasculating the sn-95.......

If I had to pick one I'd pick the roush setups because they're at least attractive. Even counting those id take a really clean and optioned out Mustang GT from ford over any of these, even for same money.

I've never cared to really any of the addon kits. Like you more so since the Termi. Ford has really upped its in house game and makes it rather hard to want much that's out of house. Aside from maybe some pulleys, some suspension parts, header, you can get nearly everything from Ford directly. The number one reason to go elsewhere is simply cost.

I really like that. Would be a lot of fun to drive.

Very funny! I thought you were French Canadian and meant “Pourquoi” but looked at your location. Turns out that means “why” in Spanish and French. Learn something new every day.

That front end is the worst version of the 2018 design. Those front skirts would snap off with the mild incline on my driveway. I trust this can be a simple bolt on and bolt off thing for the track. It would probably scrape the pull out ramps on a trailer? The hood is much better than the stock 2018. I still don’t like the lines from a purly orthodox viewpoint, but at least this looks totally BAD ASS! So Koodos to Shelby!

Younger enthusiast can build their own design. These 3rd. party companies are for more mature enthusiast, who can't work on a car or can afford a custom built project. Money is out there, and a lot of people are getting in on it, even me.

“Porque”(pronounced ‘Pork’) = torque measured in ft/lb when discussing sports cars weighing over 3500 lbs.

Not a fan. Not that I could even afford it anyways... but... $200k+ for a track only Mustang isn't my cup of tea. Good luck to the die hard fans who are willing to get one though.

The car looks good for a widebody. They just need to get rid of the RAM look on the upper grille.
Thank you! :frusty: I was staring at the front of this car and kept wondering why it felt so truck-like to me. Looks like a RAM car.

Boring and soulless like all of there other over priced crap. The way the lower front bumper drips and spreads out looks horrible. Sorry but no Mustang is ever worth that much money and it was never meant to be.
