So, the GT350 does not surpass the Z28. The R does. Other manufacturers building stronger cars does not change a thing about the GT350/R. Just means that whatever is next will be targeted at those benchmarks. And I agree that the days of the GT350 are numbered. Ending in MY19.RaceredGT350.
Here's the thing, the GT350 is already going on its 3rd model year, and although it's still a bad ass car now, it's going to get passed up by the competition. Ford set out to kick the competitions ass and it did, and I'm not talking just the Z28. But as much as I love the GT350 and I myself own one, it's not going to be a 5 year run. I honestly think it'll be over after 2017. The 5.2 block will live on in another mustang, but the flat plane crank? Nope it's days are numbered.
