Regarding conjecture, speculation, inside knowledge or pure guesses. Is that not what this place is for? Discussion of the car? I am in the arena that it will be produced for 2018 and 2019. Purely due to 2-3 statements by people on-line and at track attacks. The information has been posted before, so I don't feel the need to drudge it up, but it is out there.

First of all the UAW "can't not tell ford how long a vehicle will be in production". Second why do some of you think ford will still be producing the GT350 beyond 2017? And last I didn't see anything on that link where it says 5.2 upgrade. Some of you have wishful thinking.

One of the most reputable Mustang dealers in the country stated Ford claimed a 5 year run on the GT350's.

Rep's at the track attack said it would likely go into 2018, more than once.

That document absolutely states that the 5.2 is scheduled for an upgrade.

Can you post where it says upgrade for the 5.2

I found it now. But it also says November 2015. A 5.2 update could also mean for the gt500 mach1 etc. doesn't mean gt350. Could be a 5.2 cross plane

You are right, it definitely could mean an upgrade for a new car. I never said it didn't. Simply pointed that we are getting more and more evidence that the Gt350 may not be going away after 2017. I happen to believe that it will run to MY19 as Mustang Manny has previously alluded.

With all due respect do you honestly believe that Mustang Manny has some inside information on continued production for the GT350's beyond 2017?

There are many people who work for Ford Racing along with many other senior managers in Dearborn that don't have access to this information let alone some guy who sells cars at a Ford dealership along with some of the highest ADM's in the country.

To base anything on what this individual has to say regarding long term production of the GT350/GT350R's does not have any merit and can hardly be taken serious.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

With all do respect, do you think that we should only believe what you post on these forums? You act as if speculation based on anecdotal evidence is a bad thing. Are we all just supposed to listen to the reasoning that makes sense to you?

When he leaked that out, many Internet forums/enthusiast sites ran with it. I don't mean to offend, but his word on this is worth a lot more than yours. You seem to adamantly disagree with production going past MY17 on these cars. I am happy that you feel that way.

Serious question for you PP. Is this thread not titled "Rumor Mill"? You choose to believe who you want to and others will do the same. Nobody needs you to white knight them and protect them from enjoying thinking that production of this car will continue. Can we get back to the rumor mill and info that people have heard? I, like most here, will be ok thinking how we want to without you saving us.:thumbsup:

Here's the thing, the GT350 is already going on its 3rd model year, and although it's still a bad ass car now, it's going to get passed up by the competition. Ford set out to kick the competitions ass and it did, and I'm not talking just the Z28. But as much as I love the GT350 and I myself own one, it's not going to be a 5 year run. I honestly think it'll be over after 2017. The 5.2 block will live on in another mustang, but the flat plane crank? Nope it's days are numbered.

Until I hear it from a higher Executive than "Mustang Manny"
I will believe what has been said, 2017 version of the GT350 be the last year.
I suspect some of the people on here and there contacts at Ford, if any info was leaked
we would have heard it. To this point it is all guessing game.
Which is fine, say what you want here:)
Its worth the paper its written on LOL.

I like to disassemble things.
I think Bucktooth Betty is a higher "Executive" than "Mustang Manny." She cleans the urinals at Ford corporate and has her ears much closer to ground zero.

In this thread alone, we have members that have spoken with R&D guys from Ford claiming extension into MY18(further proving what was posted by Manny)

Also have members that heard Jim Owens announce it was going to extend into MY18.

So, are you saying you refuse to believe it until you hear it directly? I guess I am not clear what level you need to hear it from before it becomes a reality. Car is not done in MY17. If it is, I will come back and eat a nice sized helping of crow on the board.
