RaceredGT350.
Here's the thing, the GT350 is already going on its 3rd model year, and although it's still a bad ass car now, it's going to get passed up by the competition. Ford set out to kick the competitions ass and it did, and I'm not talking just the Z28. But as much as I love the GT350 and I myself own one, it's not going to be a 5 year run. I honestly think it'll be over after 2017. The 5.2 block will live on in another mustang, but the flat plane crank? Nope it's days are numbered.
So, the GT350 does not surpass the Z28. The R does. Other manufacturers building stronger cars does not change a thing about the GT350/R. Just means that whatever is next will be targeted at those benchmarks. And I agree that the days of the GT350 are numbered. Ending in MY19.

In this thread alone, we have members that have spoken with R&D guys from Ford claiming extension into MY18(further proving what was posted by Manny)

Also have members that heard Jim Owens announce it was going to extend into MY18.

So, are you saying you refuse to believe it until you hear it directly? I guess I am not clear what level you need to hear it from before it becomes a reality. Car is not done in MY17. If it is, I will come back and eat a nice sized helping of crow on the board.
Ford press release or an order guide.

Hearsay, conjecture and salesmen don't mean anything.

One of the most reputable Mustang dealers in the country stated Ford claimed a 5 year run on the GT350's.

Rep's at the track attack said it would likely go into 2018, more than once.

That document absolutely states that the 5.2 is scheduled for an upgrade.
No one, and not even Jim Owens, said at our track attack how long the length of production would be except Owens saying that the 350 production would "mirror" that of the 12/13 B302 run.

With all do respect, do you think that we should only believe what you post on these forums? You act as if speculation based on anecdotal evidence is a bad thing. Are we all just supposed to listen to the reasoning that makes sense to you?

When he leaked that out, many Internet forums/enthusiast sites ran with it. I don't mean to offend, but his word on this is worth a lot more than yours. You seem to adamantly disagree with production going past MY17 on these cars. I am happy that you feel that way.

Serious question for you PP. Is this thread not titled "Rumor Mill"? You choose to believe who you want to and others will do the same. Nobody needs you to white knight them and protect them from enjoying thinking that production of this car will continue. Can we get back to the rumor mill and info that people have heard? I, like most here, will be ok thinking how we want to without you saving us.:thumbsup:
If you knew who you were arguing with you would sit in your pile and just think about conjecture rather than post it.

My money's on PP0001... His insight and prowess amongst the Ford community is much more credible than much anyone I've ever known... And that includes my good friend who is an owner of my Ford dealership.

For the sake of argument, it was MM who posted those 5000/500 production numbers, and the post was either deleted or taken down soon after he posted that. I'm not saying he's higher than execs, or any of the Ford reps, but you can't deny that his yearly production numbers were pretty spot on. I don't recall anyone else giving us that kind of info, and was right. Those execs or reps might know what the plan is, but can't give a press release on it. But what they can do is talk to their close friends, etc and then it gets leaked through them instead. Mustang manny might have been one of those people.

I was a firm believer in the '17 being the last MY, but obviously only time will tell. Interesting thread nonetheless.

So, he didn't state it at yours, but he did at another, so that means it isn't true? Not following. Maybe he had different information when he made the statement. Just a guess.

Dude you're really beating a dead horse. The GT350 track pack has matched or beaten the z28. The R clobbered it.

Jesus Christ. MM could be a hard shelled candy for all I know. Guessing a 500/5000 production run isn't rocket science. Do you realize how many Svt vehicles for made in 5000 runs? Many! The GT350 WILL NOT GO TO 2019.

Are you challenged? What the hell does this even mean? PP has stated that he doesn't "know", but has stated his opinion. Are you saying he was being disingenuous?

Again, I will ask, is the thread not titled "Rumor Mill"? Just because someone's opinion differs from yours, doesn't make it wrong. You very matter of factly stated earlier that it was dead after MY17. I think we both know you are wrong on that. I just happen to think it will extend to MY19 as well. Only time will tell.

I didn't know that. I don't see a reason why he deleted the post/got removed then.

He is speaking to the new Z28 which you know they will want to outperform the GT350/R. I bet the new Z28 will best it but there are more to the GT350 than track times.

Removing posts automatically makes them true? That's neat.

Since you're quoting that post, I didn't say that makes his post true. Voodooo said it was a regular thing, and I just left it at that. In the end, don't care.
