Decided to finish off the co2 parachute handle launcher setup. Still don't have the chute yet.

My gut has been torturing me all day, but I finally started moving in the garage. When I started it was 8 degrees, turned on the propane to cut the chill.

I put the BMR tubular drag k member in. I did everything on the floor with jack stands, completely by myself (which is the usual.) So if you are looking to put one in, it's doable alone. I still need to swap in the steering rack and button up the control arms, it just got too cold to keep going tonight. Took me about 3.5 - 4 hours from jacking up the car to torquing the k member nuts down with only the rack and control arms to go.

Advice for unbolting the steering rack from factory k member = heat and an impact. It zips right out. Also make sure when you swing the k member in the garage you calculate the length of the rack so that you don't scratch your front bumper :( I feel like a complete putz.

Got the steering rack in and everything torqued down. Made a mistake and crimped a brake line with a nut. Stupid oversight. Two mistakes in one day - I think I am done in the garage for now.

Turns out the engine diaper still does not fit, the AC compressor needs to go to make it work. I'm not ready for that yet.

Found a factory brake line to replace the one I damaged. Hopefully it comes in soon. Also picked up a motion raceworks driver side button mount and button (matches the passenger side one I already have) to use for the co2 parachute handle. No word on when the 17" Kirkey seats and covers I ordered are coming.

It may be time to put a little f-1a-94 in this f-1a-94 build thread.... what do you think?

Wife, if you are reading this, don't worry. The f-1a-94 is a part number of a fan belt that is very affordable.

I am not into drag racing but I really enjoy reading your build post. The professional way you are going about it is really cool.

Thanks for the kind words and for following along. I get some joy out of documenting my progress and thoughts here, glad others find value in it or can appreciate it.

Getting very close to finalizing the interior! Good thing it's going to be -24 tmrw morning. Will need to wait for a heat wave to get into the garage.

You sir are a lucky man! So glad you changed your mind from going to silly turbos.
This will be an exciting new chapter. Guy makes 3 passes on p1x, upgrades to f1a94 and grenades block on the first burnout. The procharger is slated to be here tmrw, woo!

Got the brake line replaced in 15 mins, super simple. Glad I went with an OEM part vs trying to repair the original. My hands are numb, if I can heat them up (and the garage), I may work on the racing seats and harnesses.
