I have a 2018 base Ecoboost PP that did not come with remote start and I see various plug and play kits for 2015-2017 models that several sellers have confirmed to me that they simply do not make one for the 18+ yet. I stumbled across a Ford OEM kit: JS7Z19A361A, and it is described as a security system with remote start, plug and play kit for 18+ mustangs. It also says that it requires dealer programming. Can anyone confirm if I could simply program the car using Forscan to enable remote start after installing this kit? If so, which parameters would it be?

Doesn't help with your Forscan question since I don't know but, I bought a 2018 Base Ecoboost without Remote Start. I said I wouldn't buy the car without it so the dealer did it for me probably with that kit. Looked at the waived bill and it was about $800.

I just installed this on my 18 Ecoboost. In forscan enable remote start under IPC and BCM.

Just found out my new car probably won't have remote start or paddles which is a shame given my base 2017 V6 had both...how's the process for this? Is that the code based input for Forscan or just toggles? Did you end up swapping key fobs too?

I wanted remote start so bad when I bought my car but it wasn’t worth giving up the 6mt. I know what neutral is, FU ford lol

What?! I've never heard of mustangs coming without paddles for the autos...

Just 2022 things I suppose lol. Seems like I could swap in a steering wheel with them and it'd work though, just absurd they'd even do it given it's on base models since at least the start of the S550.

Damn that's cheap of Ford :cwl: I'd be interested to see if it is truly add paddles and it works. You might want to look at the programming too.
