I recall Ford recently saying a lot of testing was done at night.

People on the internet when they see these type of pictures...

"If you look at the bump 3/4 on the rear left side of the hood, pretty sure that means we are getting twin turbos this year!"

"Notice the extra fabric required to cover the rear quarter panel and bumper valance? Pretty sure that's the Fusion bumper"

"If you notice the rotational mass on the front wheel and how the image was snapped with a shutter speed of 1/1200, pretty sure that's indication that this is an A10 with AWD"
Greatness!!! :amen::hail::hail:

Nope, didn't miss that one.

That's certainly the sort of camo I'd be expecting to see on an '18MY mule, although that one was spotted around 8 months ago and, seemingly, hasn't been spotted since. Was it an anomaly?

The tacked on lights really were rather weird though.....perhaps they were testing the required wiring for new LED headlamps, but it does seem an odd way to do it. And the current tail lamps are already LED, so that sorta throws that theory out of the window!

Perhaps they were just testing new camo :headbonk:
Makes me think there's a change to the headlights that they don't want spied so they threw those on the front for functionality while completely covering the design. :shrug:

Yeah I agree. I would assume also they can test at night but prolly need something up front for DOT reg's this is the ultimate way to hide headlights during the day if they were new.

If anything I'd say this is as close to confirmation of headlight refresh as actually seeing it. Popcorn time! Go 2018! If there is anything that looks a lil old, its the lights that remind me of my old 2013 Fusion.

I think they will get rid of the HID's and go full LED.. would make sense.

Full LED would be awesome!! Seeing so many new cars with LED headlights now. I would also like to see an interior refresh with use of more high end soft touch materials and maybe ditch the shiny chrome trim pieces for brushed aluminum !!!

It wouldn't cost much to go from those to LEDs. I hope they make the change.

Well, waiting is all we can do right now ;)

I guess we're 4 to 5 months away from seeing it launched, assuming an LA or Detroit reveal. Gonna be a long 4 to 5 months :headbonk:

Most of what we already suspect was confirmed to me today by a ford insider: exterior fascia changes, increased power, 10 speed auto, new infotainent and displays, magnetorehological shocks, and dual mode exhaust. What the person would not confirm was a Mach 1, the continuation or cancellation of the GT350, supercharger vs. turbocharger on the GT500, or the 2018 job 1 date. The person did say GT500 would beat Hellcat though.
