I've heard different stories on this, but this is exactly what my dealer told me. I was locked in to the MSRP based on my order date, and I was entitled to the better of the rebates in effect at the time of order or delivery. I had the sales manager write down the agreed upon price and we both signed it. $42,500 less $1,500 = $41,000. I took his word on getting any better rebate at the time of delivery, but honestly, I will be happy at the $41,000 price point even if rebates were to go up another $500 or $1,000.If your order is submitted, the rebates should still apply. They can hold rebates up until delivery if you have a car ordered and just keep that specific rebate unless a better one shows up
Honestly, sales were down from last year for the months of Jan and Feb. It will interesting to see what they are for March here in a few days. My guess is the rebates will be at least as good if not a little better after 4/2. Ford isn't going to want to have a lot of 18's sitting around when the 19's start showing up later this summer. For a matter of fact, the Ford guy that I've been getting information from said they turned down allocation for their last wave of 18's because they still had 5 17's in inventory and that it's been a bad year so far for Mustang sales.
