Yeah at this point I have lost faith in dealing with Ford. Things happen, but the way they handled all of this in my situation has been absolutely abhorrent.
I would encourage not doing that any time soon, they held my car for over 4 weeks trying to source the parts from that TSB.
I ended up with an entirely new transmission assembly because they never could get the parts.
I've been dealing with a "Regional Customer Service Manager" and they are horrible with communication & responses. I left him voicemails daily for 5 business days, answered me the following week with no new information. Allegedly nobody further to escalate or speak to, just playing the waiting...
My car is currently in the shop for the second time trying to get them to acknowledge this issue, EXACT sound as some of the videos posted here.
Funny part? While it was in there the second time, they decided my MT82 was a piece of **** and needed to be overhauled. It's been in the shop 3...
The drivetrains in these cars are garbage. Mine has been in the shop for 3 weeks now because they can't get their hands on the parts.
So to state the obvious: They can't get their hands on parts because so many of these are blowing up.
Gear - Mainshaft 2nd speed
Synchronizer Hub x 2
Synchronizer Ring x 3
3rd and 4th Speed Clutch
3rd and 4th Speed Fork
1st and 2nd Speed Fork
We're over 15 days sitting in the shop at this point.
02/11 Update: Ultimately got an ETA of 02/28 on the parts, they opted to replace the entire transmission instead since they could locate one. They aren't sure if this transmission has the same crummy shift forks or not.
(Icing on the cake: I didn't even make it halfway home before I had to...
Hey guys, got an issue that I'm not sure if this is a duplicate from what everyone else is saying other threads or not.
This is my first manual transmission vehicle, so I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid after reading these forums but something seems "off".
When I'm shifting into 1st, then...
I wish they would just allow more transparency, the unknown nature of the status is such a killer...
Nobody seems to have the information on which trucking company is handling the transport from rail yard to dealer, or I could just ask them when their ETA is aside from some general COTUS estimate
I was tracking the rail car and I saw that it had been "Delivered to Industry", and is sitting in a rail yard 30 miles away from my house.
Anyone have experiences to share of how long it took to be picked up and drove to the dealer? Wish I could just go retrieve it myself, but I have an EDD...
I called my dealer trying to get information on how to track my car on the railroad, but they don't seem to know what I'm talking about.
He found the "Ramp #' and "Batch #', but nothing that resembles anything I could track via Union Pacific/CSX/Etc.
Is there someone specific I should talk...
Nothing major, couple of small cosmetic items on the interior (sticker/cover to "delete" the airbag warning label, some rubber mats, maybe some red dash vinyl?)
What part of the USA are you in? My EDD is still the 27th, yours got bumped to the 25th and mine stayed haha
