2018 Mustang Orders Placed Thread (Vote/Share Here)

I wished they opened the orders sooner and got them to us in July like they did last year. Cause this winter delivery sucks for people who have a lot of snow. Where I am its in the 30s and this time last year we were still in the 60s-70s. I have a feeling that we will be getting a lot of snow this year.. No more mild winters for us down south!

Yeah, this weather is just wrong, but I kind of hope it will snow now since my mom will be visiting around that time and we might go traveling somewhere far, and if it snows back here it will delay the delivery till I get back.

Mine is still in ordering processing I don't think it'll move till the first week of December. When did you order your's?

I ordered mine on 8/19 and still can only see the same info as you (sbrenskell) on COTUS. Starved for more info.

Ordered 8/4, but I was actually in the last week in July. Took them a week to get the order in correctly. Last I spoke to the dealership, my car was to be built starting Nov. 29th. I was really hoping it would make it here before xmas break.

I was really hoping mine would come before Christmas. But that's not going to happen. It'll be a really late Christmas present to myself. Now if mother nature won't let it snow that week. That'll be great!!

Went up to my dealer today to check out the trainer unit they had. My take-aways:

1. The Kona Blue is extremely purple in person. Very glad I went with OF over the KB that the wife wanted.

2. The front end was never an issue to me but it definitely looks better in person. The whole front of the car, hood included, looks much more aggressive and sports car oriented.

3. The digital dash is way better than I thought. I lightweight regret not adding it to my package but could not justify the cost for the limited other items in the 401A package that I would actually use. But the dash is definitely pimp.

4. The exhaust is not nearly as loud as I thought it would be from reviewing all the videos online. It sounds better than my buddies HellCat and a coworkers SS, just not the monster that its made out to be in the videos. The Quiet mode is really nice. An item of note is that the trainer said the PP exhaust has a different tone than the none PP car, which this one was. Still Active Exhaust just non-PP.

5. The materials in the MY18 feel better than those in the MY15-MY17. The trainer car had the blue stitching interior. I wish Ford had offered orange stitching as well as orange seat belts for the car.

6. I have to wait to see my car with the PP spoiler, but I really like the spoiler deleted car. I know I could have gotten the deleted option at order but since Ford didn't take anything off for not adding it I kept it in the package. Figure I'll sell it for a couple bucks after I get the car and either go spoilerless or the PP2 variant.

7. Finally, my delivery date is listed as 12/05/17. sitting in the car today and checking out all the features just solidifies that it is going to be hell waiting these last few weeks for it to arrive. And even more so once I get it as I'm sure the snow will upon us by then.

I went to checkout a few on the lot at a dealership about 40 miles away from where I live. Gotta say I'm very happy with the car, love the digital dash a LOT! Though they didn't have one with active exhaust so couldn't comment on that, but agree with all the other things you said.

The dealer I ordered from just has a base GT coming in. My car is the most speced(that I know of) coming into their dealer. If I'm not able to get it(cause of weather) I'm sure they'll put it in the lobby to attract some attention, but I'll ask them to put up barriers so I don't have hands all over my car.

A military guy walked into my dealership and just about bought my car with cash right there before the manager came out and said, hold up, that's a custom order for someone! It literally just came in that morning and I was leaving work and the dealership was a mile down the road. Couldn't imagine if that guy would have walked off with my car... lol.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows that's my car. If not then the new car manager will be like "I'm sorry sir that's already sold to someone."

Well, mine finished a bit early so I think it surprised some of them. I was still "In Transit" for about another week in COTUS after I got it.

I'm hoping I get it early! I'm supposed to get it January 11th. Which will be 6 months after I originally ordered it.
