personally I don't see a lot of heat transfer happening with the plastic manifold....especially with the velocity of the air moving through it. Steeda makes some quality parts(I have some) but this looks like snake oil to me.

This. First of all, plastic isn't that big of a heat conductor and second, the air is moving so fast and has a very very small window to absorb heat while in the manifold.

Also, there's no temp sensor in the manifold so the computer will not see any decrease in air temps from this to adjust for with more timing...thus even if there were any actual temperature changes there won't be much power associated with this all since the timing would remain the same.

Save your money for other mods, like those which actually help get cooler air to the filter.

For anyone that wants to try something like this just get the DEI stuff. basically the same thing but you have to trim it yourself. Half the price. http://designengineering.com/reflect-a-cool-heat-reflective-sheets/
Still think its pure snake oil though unless your sitting and purposefully letting the engine heat soak for 30 min.

https://www.steeda.com/Heatshield-I...fold-Heat-Shield-2015-2018-GT350_p_15856.html I used this one for my 18 mani, also pick up some more 3M double sided tape for the outer trim will peel back without it over time, also used small amount of aluminum foil tape to seal areas where the holes are as the 18 does not have the holes, but it fits just fine as they are similar.
Can you specify both types of tapes you used, only because there are a lot of different double-sided and aluminum tapes out there...?

Regarding my above comment, quoting from @Kahboom, can anyone speculate about what tapes are being referred to? I don’t have much experience with this sort of thing.

3M double sided grey tape, 3M or foil aluminum tape, both can be found in any hardware store.
