I have a 2018 GT Premium with the 401A showstopper red interior. My driver seat was perfect when i got the car. I've noticed leather is loose, wrinkling and sagging after few months, thought it was normal. But it's getting worse and this is how it looks after 5 and half months 6000 miles. Does anyone have this issue ? Will this be covered under warranty.

I haven't seen this on any other car that I can recall. I'm 5.11 and around 180lbs and i take care when getting in and out of the car. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bring it back to the Dealer for warranty repair. The padding under that upholstery must not have been properly installed, is too thin or has somehow prematurely deteriorated..

I also have an 18, with Ceramic Leather... and it now has 13k daily driven miles on it. My driver side seat bottom cushion (padding and leather) still looks and feels new, as well as the backrest. Doesn’t even come close to looking like yours...

Your Dealer will either have it repaired properly on their site by their body shop or may farm out the job to an outside local upholstery/body shop.

There was a large thread on here that was started with the 2015’s that included images of similar seat cushion and leather concerns and many of those folks had successful fixes under warranty.

Thanks.

Unfortunately i purchased my car out of state. But i'll try taking it to the local dealer where i got my 1st oil change done. I'll also ask them to document the engine ticking noises and metallic flutter noise when accelerating at around 2000 rpm.

On a side note, i threw 7k in mods already and i'm starting to worry that all that money might be going down the drain now. I'll be purchasing an extended warranty asap hearing about all these issues.

It does not matter where you bought it, all dealers have to honor the new car warranty. I am about same body size as you and my 3 year old seats look brand new.

Agreed - doesn’t matter at all where anyone buys a vehicle, in their home state or out of state... The Ford Warranty on the vehicle is honored at ANY Ford Dealership within the US 48, period. A Ford Dealership cannot deny you repair or warranty work just because the vehicle was not purchased at their Dealership.

Hell, when I did the Ford Buy Back on my prior 2016, the Dealership who was the “middle man” for working through the Ford RAV process, ordering my 2018, where the 2016 was left off and where all docs were signed was not the original selling Dealership of my 2016.

Ok i've gotten lazy and never took care of this last year. This week i dropped my car for oil change and some engine work at dealership. They're refusing saying that it's normal wear and tear; and that Ford isn't approving the repair. My car is at 18k miles now and the condition has gotten more worse.

Does anyone have the Ford 800 # that i could use to file a complaint directly ?

Thanks

Ford regional rep after investigating few weeks denied my claim saying it's normal wear and tear.

That’s unfortunate that Ford denied the claim.

The only other recommendations would be to check out this DIY thread:

or

Go to a local upholstery shop and see if they can fix the concern. It shouldn’t cost that much for them to either add additional foam support or to pull the upholstery tighter.
