was that the "Safe and Lazy Package"?
NO
In London in the UK, it was Makes Perfect Sense Package
and as the package only cost me $400 instead of $1200, was well worth it

Jeep has the a la carte thing down to a science on the Wrangler lineup. Three trim levels, and you pick your options from there, very few all-encompassing and expensive packages. You definitely pay for it, but you get exactly what you want. I loved this when I ordered my DD.

Of course, I'm sure they'll eventually ruin it and it will be package, package, package.....

so ive been tossing the idea around of jumping on the 2018 wagon, and trading in my 2015 for a 2018, but man am i disappointed. me personally i would have loved a 2018 base 5.0 with cloth recaros, 10 speed, performance pack, active exhaust, and most importantly the digital dash. seems that you cannot get recaros on a base car and you cannot get the digital dash on a base car either. on the premium its not even a stand alone option. whats the deal with ford? mustang has always been about being able to customize your car the way you want from the factory. guess ill just wait till 2019 rant over
To be completely honest with you, the S550 base interior is a POS. Horrible man. I'm appalled Ford lets that thing pass. I mean it's almost 2018, they should class it up a little. For the people that say they only need a v8 and a manual, you are part of the problem of why the interior looks like the way it does. No car interior should like that. A Mustang isn't a base Civic. Gee wilikers.

Nonsense. If you care about the interior buy a flippin Audi diesel saloon. Id rather they spent the money on the engine than the interior. And to be honest the interior is not that bad.

The base interior is complete shit. What are you talking about? Buy a 1990s Mustang if you don't care. If the price is going to go up, make the car look respectable at least. Add more standard features. Have you looked around at the base interior for the competition? Probably not.

idk brother i love the base interior only thing i wish they upgraded was the radio display ive always preferred cloth seats and the materials in the base are not that bad me personally i just dont see the point in paying a premium for sub par materials if i want leather and real nice materials like someone said ill go lexus or audi

You're gonna have to step up to porsche if you want to pick little things here and there.

Also, the new CEO said they are doing away with options. They think there are too many as is, so it's not going to get any better in the future.

Don't like cloth seats if you have pets in the car. Also, the potential for spills. Leather is easier to clean up for sure.

Lexus or Audi? Really? Who wants to spend 60 or 70k dollars on a mundane POS. Lexus is a rich man's Toyota. Audi is a rich man's Volkswagen.

There are cars in the 25-30k dollar price range that have really nice interiors. The Mustang? Eh, it ain't one of 'em.

We only get premium option in the UK, buy premium then if you don't like base interior. If someone is more interested in the interior than I'd prefer they didn't buy a Mustang. A 1990s Mustang wouldn't have the same performance

I do agree that leather is easier to clean. I don't have pets that go in my car!! I have leather on my DD, Lincoln Mark LT. Nice to have the heated seats in the cold winter.

I feel interiors are just like the exterior, it really comes down to personal preference. I drove the Camaro, and the Challenger, both nice, but the cost was over what I wanted to spend. My out the door $28K GT was exactly what I wanted. V8, manual trans, A/C, PW, PL, cruise control. If I wanted a luxury 2 door, it will cost more. I have not seen a $25-30K interior that was WAY better. A $25-30K interior is a Civic or Focus. I think the base interior is great. For what it is (a base interior!!) Although, I did come from a 2001 GT Premium, and that was not a very fancy interior!!

I never understood why I can choose every single thing on german cars here.
It was the European and Japanese manufactuers that first forced you to buy packages and limit the individual options.

I have the window sticker for my 68 Barracuda and an original sales broucher. The insulation pad under the hood was a stand alone option, the chrome trim around the brake, clutch and gas pedal was a stand alone option as was a day night review mirror. The car came with an outside rear view mirror on the driver's door but one on the passenger door was an option and having the driver's door mirror be cable operated from the inside was an option.

I do have the premium interior. ;)

Just stating my opinion on the base interior of the S550. It's outdated. Just saying.

It's worlds better than the interior in a Subaru WRX or STI.
