At stock power, I doubt there's much difference. Is that electronically limited, or drag limited?
Was your's a Perf Pack car? I read that the 120 limit may have been tire related. Since the Perf Pack comes with the "summer" P Zeros, it may be higher. But again, I don't know for sure.My 2016 EB was electronically limited at 120.I don't know if there has been any change. With a Cobb Acessport limit could be raised in 15-17 my.
Or other parts. 2011 V6s had a ~114 limit and people assumed it was for tires until some removed the limiter and found their cheap drive shafts coming thru the floor. A limiter can be for the tire rating but also for other unpublished part limits. That's probably electronic for tire rating
It's certainly possible, but my understanding is that on current models, many of the components are shared across the entire model line, e.g., gearbox, differential, etc. This may have to do with the much closer gap in torque between the Ecoboost and the V8 (350lb/ft vs 420lb/ft).Or other parts. 2011 V6s had a ~114 limit and people assumed it was for tires until some removed the limiter and found their cheap drive shafts coming thru the floor. A limiter can be for the tire rating but also for other unpublished part limits.
