The thought of it sitting outside in a lot in the weather makes me cringe.
Completely understand your concerns especially this time of the year when the acid rain in Michigan has a tendency to bake on during the late summer and fall heat.

I received a 2015 Track Pack and a 2016 R and a 2017 R during a 7 month time period all of which took place in the 2016 calendar year.

Once I received my 2015 in January 2016 I did a careful inspection of the complete car and ended up having to do a paint correction on that car due to acid rain imperfections.

The paint on the two R's ended up in acceptable condition as they both sat outside for a much shorter time period so had nothing to do to them.

Good luck!

;)

Doesn't exist.
Based on my experience I have seen some crazy things happen during the 2 year production of the Boss 302's and also with the last 3 years of the GT350/R regarding some terrific deals.

Are the odds against you, absolutely but I can tell you first hand that there will always be a chance for a great deal based on some luck and hard work therefore encourage you to not give up your quest for an R at MSRP.

Mine was an MSRP deal. This particular dealer's policy is to not mark up any of their specialty vehicle allocations. And before anyone asks, I've already inquired about '18 allocations and no dice.

Every dealer in the Indianapolis area has mark up's on both the 2018 GT350, GT350R and the Raptors.

Me too. Being in the car business and knowing I still got a "decent" deal for being local in CA I'm trying to decide how best to communicate to my dealer that I would like "some" sort/form of benefit or compensation for this. I know it's not their fault which makes it tough for me to ask it of them, and I don't want it to cost my sales person anything because it's not their fault. But I have a payment coming up and no car

don't understand that part but don't necessarily need to.
I feel all your pain, you guys. Mine was delayed so many times and sat so long...boy, was it frustrating....and I know the system and it's quirks pretty well...I managed a large portion of the Ford vehicle inventory system in a past life.

If you were looking at such a high price point paying over might be an option if it's something you really want, yes?

Yes but it bugs me to no end paying over what the sticker says.

Yes, I contracted before it was delivered.

I'm in the car business, and have found 2 MSRP deals myself and I paid over sticker. All depends on how bad you want something.

I agree with the sentiment so far. You are wasting your time trying to get an MSRP deal at this point. I paid 2k about a week before the document was leaked from ford which highlighted the short model year for '18.

Now everybody and his best friends uncle wants an R because of the perception of the last model year. When (and if) they announce a '19 MY, you might have a chance. Otherwise it is a fools errand.
I agree.
