Hey guys, a dealer has told me they have a 2018 350R coming to them in the next week or two. I'm strongly considering trading in my current mustang for it. My question is, has the ADM on these slowed down a bit? This one is located in the Southeast. I would hate to pay an ADM, but might be willing to go above MSRP to get it. I was curious if anyone on the 350 forum has paid ADM for a 2018 R?

Gotta have to ask the dealership about that. It's all different. I paid almost nothing on ADM for my car. Others have paid nearly 100K for a GT350. I'm guessing no one this forum has done that, anyway, but it's happened.

I told them I would go up to $5,000 over but no more. If they can get more than that, more power to them. I assume they will get more than that for it.

If you like the color scheme I would call 5k over a no-brainer. Whether they'll accept that is another matter though.

With you already offering an ADM of $5,000 to this dealership have you not confirmed what they actually want for the car?

Don't assume that this dealership can get more than your $5,000 ADM offer as some dealerships would be quite happy with a low ADM such as this and a quick sale.

What color combination, stripes, electronics package/base, car cover?

I paid $8K ADM a month ago (~$77K) for a 2018 R with a dealer I haven't done business with before. I don't enjoy negotiating or hassle, and generally like to close a deal quickly when I decide to buy. A person with more patience could almost certainly get a better deal than I got.

The R has lived up to the hype for me.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
You most certainly may take a big hit on your 2018 GT in trade, which could effectively produce an even greater sacrifice to acquire the GT350 R. You need to consider everything in the deal and it may be best to sell your GT on your own. Sales tax alone on your quick purchases(2018 GT-2018 R) is a big figure for starters

The care is white with blue stripes, electronics package and the car cover I am not sure about. The car is on it's way to the dealer now, or so they tell me. $68,640 is the MSRP.

Agreed, but I'm okay with the hit to get myself into the R, if possible. I'll most likely try to sell the 18' myself. We'll see.

Very nice color combination and hope that you will be able to pull the trigger with the dealerships help.

As many of us R owners already know you will not be disappointed with your decision.

Good luck and keep us all posted!

Amazing we are still talking about and paying ADM's on R's in 2018, a true testament to how good this car really is IMO.
