2017 Submitted to plant. Serial #??

My 2017 R has finally been submitted to the plant. I see it's got R002 assigned but i'm not sure if that's part of the serial or just a temporary thing until it's scheduled?

That is your order number (dealer assigns it). Pretty cool the dealer has an R and non-R with sequential VINs (minus the T/6 modifier) on order

Interesting to note my base 17R is one serial number less than yours (...23467) and started last week. Delivery in about 30 days.

That VIN is assigned once your car is scheduled. Don't know about the R002 number.
