Disagree. 2015-2017 looks just as classy as....

Whereas '18's designs clues go in some other direction.
So when the S650 comes out you will then say the '18's looked pretty muscular as compared to S650. This was the exact same debate when S550's were first launched. Everyone knew the S550 looked "modern". It just doesnt have that muscle car look like the 11-14 mustang's had. S550's look more of a sports car now.

In my humble opinion I think the S550's scream Mustang, whereas the S197's whisper it.

I liked the look of the 11-14 and loved the look of the 15 when I first saw it. With the 18 it's more of a mixed bag

The poll was designed to gauge interest or non interest in a 2018 model.
From first time buyers or current mustang owners. People who purchased
a 2017 who wished they purchased a 2018 or why 2015-2017 owners are
happy with their cars and don't see it worth purchasing a 2018. So far 83.52%
Don't see a reason to trade up or purchase for the reasons listed in the poll.
The reason so many have issues with the poll (I will not vote on this) is not only is it lacking in substance and options but the "point" you are claiming to be making with this poll doesn't correspond well with the answer choices. Although sometimes dry the poll would have made your point by simply polling on a few choices.

1) Plan on purchasing the 2018 Mustang (Pro 2018 Answer Choice)
2) Do Not plan on purchasing the 2018 Mustang (Pro Non 2018 Answer Choice)
3) Undecided (Neither For or Against the 2018 Mustang)

Using your 3 options then, so as to merge the Pro Non 2018 Answer Choice it would be:

1) 16.83%
2) 61.38%
3) 21.78%

Read what you just wrote. I know what a poll is, and why they are used.

I was stating YOUR poll is rather stupid, because the results mean nothing. They are there just to confirm your bias and help you sleep at night. You have model issues... Nobody dwells on this.

You left out the last Mustang muscle car.
I agree the 2013-2014 Mustang GT's, Boss 302 and GT500's were probably the last "muscle car" mustang. The solid axle, wheel spinning bad assery is gone.
If you want "muscle car" get a 2013-2014 Mustang GT, Boss or GT500 and hold on to it. In 10 years when everything is hybrids, you'll be glad you have it. In 20-30 years, the GT500 & Boss's will start appreciating in value as the end of an era cars.

That said, I sold my 2014 GT for a more refined, better handling and sexier 2017 GT.

Then again, I'm already bored with my 2017 GT after only a year. At least my 2014 GT Convertible took me 2 years to get tired of.

2018 is hands down going to be the better drivers car IMO. The power increase is one thing but the 7,500k redline will be a lot of fun in the feels dept. I also read that the shifter is supposed to feel better. A lot of people hate the front end but I bought my 17 to go fast, the looks were just a bonus.

For the record, I paid exactly $32,000 OTD for a 17 GT with perf pack. Assuming the 2018 isn't sold at a discount immediately (and it will because it's a Ford Mustang), is the 2018 really worth $6k more? Probably not....Granted you could buy a 17, get the Ford power pack 3 which would essentially give you similar performance as the 2018 for an additional $2,000. So if you like the looks of the 2017 better you can spend not a cent more than $34,000 and get similar performance and the looks you want.

Granted, what the 2018 is offering is still worth the price IMO the mustang is still an incredible value under $40k. On a side note, if you're considering an automatic the 2018 10-speed seems to be the obvious choice.

Actually there are a lot of people who are on the fence about purchasing a 2018 or trading up to get one. Not everyone just jumps on a new model just because of specs on a piece of paper. Some of us actually like to go see one in person, test drive one and oh yeah wait until the car reviews come in. The results of the poll are not stupid because of the reasons I stated before. There is another poll on this forum that is 2018 Fan Boy friendly for all you sensitive types.

Seems to be the majority at least on this forum that have ordered weren't bothered whatsoever by the price given the majority went Premium GT with all the fixings.

Personally I like the looks of the 15-17 version slightly better. Even if I didn't own a 2017 and was deciding between a leftover 17 and the 18, I'd go with the 17 for looks and price. It's also too easy to get much more HP than the 18 has with the 15-17. Now, if Ford could convince me they solved the drive line vibration issues in the 18 I might change my mind.

It's always the same story. All about the Buck if Europeans accept the 2018 they will sell and Ford will reap the rewards.

Here's my take on new cars. I usually buy a new ride about every three years. The brand new car costs around $20,000.00 after haggling and my trade. I always order my car the way I want it. I do not buy off the lot. So a new car with all the bells and whistles all the updates and all new parts cost me 20 or so thousand. Yes it's a lot of money spent but I always have a new car with what I want and it doesn't cost 40 -45- thousand.. I take extremely good care of my rides. I'm no kid at 74 and my Gal is 72 and she can hang gears like a pro I taught her to drive stick back in 1966. So this week I'm ordering a 2018 Premium GT, 6 speed trans, 3:55 rear in Oxford white with black interior with red trim. So let the games begin.
