For starters: 2017 GT Base M/T 74K Miles Trans Replaced @70k by dealer, bought with 60k Miles, Run only 93 Octane.
Mods: MBRP H-Pipe Catback, K&N CAI, Maybe Gen 3 manifold hard to tell looks really similar "All were done by PO"
Driving: I mostly daily and lug it around but I do, do a fair amount of 1-2s pulls on it.

I did an oil change yesterday normal procedure every 3000 to 4000 Miles. I use 10w 30 and a K&N Filter all went fine always prefilled the filter to make sure I get oil pressure faster. I noticed under very light throttle at around 1800 to 2000 RPM I get what sounds like a taping noise randomly sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't. I assumed my plugs may be the original and they were. I replaced them with Ngk 6510's car definitely liked it better but still made the noise. I do have a warranty but really don't want to have it go to the dealer again so soon. Im wondering if this is a normal thing these cars eventually do. Car still drives great pulls great no issues. My Oil pressure is fine and it has never been overheated either. Maybe my ears are just adjusting to this thing

Its kind of hard to hear it in the video but its much louder in person you can hear a faint click.

Doesn't sound good but that doesn't sound like spark knock to me

Maybe it has the pp2 or 3 from ford performance? I've heard a few others mention low speed pinging with that set up. Might want to figure out if it's the gen 3 mani or the gt350.

Do you know of any identifying part number locations/ways I can tell easily? I can also grab a pic of it if that helps. I just find it weird that this is the first time I've heard it in the 14k miles I've driven it. I do have access to Forscan and may be able to log once I get back after Christmas.

That is absolutely not spark knock/pinging you hear, that would show up under load on the road and not just revving the motor like that.

Yeah, I don't think its spark knock either now that I listen to it more. I had some of my buddies who work at my local dealer listen to it and they thought that could be it. It does happen when I drive but only at that 1800-2000 RPM under light throttle and its very random when it happens. When they did hear it they did say It sounded like driver-side valvetrain area rear of the engine.

Try using a rod/long screwdriver to try and pinpoint the sound while a friend holds the rpms up. Be really careful around the front of the engine!

Yeah would rather not lose my finger those are nice to have . Ill give that a shot when I get back. I have suspicions this car was beat on pretty hard before I bought it just by how early stuff is wearing. I also notice that after the slight rev and sound it makes in the video sometimes the rpm will drop to 500 and almost try to stall and then quickly re-adjust itself to the normal 750 I think it is.
