2017 GT Differential Hose Fitting

New to the forum. I am currently in the midst of grafting a salvaged 2017 S550 GT rear end into a 62 F100. I’m curious as to what the hose barb fitting is on the differential. Thanks!

Is this simply an open line or does it need a one way valve or something?

Open is totally fine for your application if your just making a daily driver. Route it in a fashion that is higher than the port location with the ability to run back. It’s just allowing pressure from building within the diff from fluid expansion.

This won’t be a daily driver. I’m building a pro-touring setup and will see the occasional track day and strip run. NA Coyote/6r80 at first will a TVS blower following.

Any recommendations for a breather/catch can?
