Have a 2017 Convertible and one of the lights in the third brake light is not working (see image). Any way to fix this or does the whole brake light need to be replaced? Anyone know the part number and procedures to replace.
Correct they are LED’s. Pull the assembly out and look for cracked/broken solder joint; repair with a little solder to bridge the joint again. That’s the most common problem with LED bars like that in vehicles.
Or check amazon. My 2010 explorer had a cracked lens on the 3rd light, a stock ford part was a buck 20 and it did not include the old style incandescent bulbs, I got a replacement LED 3rd light on amazon for 25 bucks that was plug n play.
