I can only download version 3.0 from the ford website. I believe that V3.3 is only available for 2017+ models.
Yes, I got my years and version’s mixed up (it’s been awhile since we’ve discussed this. Version 3.3 came out in 2019 (maybe late 2018) and was then updated to 3.4. I believe the latest update to 3.0 was build # 20204.

OK, you have the latest version of Sync which supports Android Auto. Your phone connects to AA in other cars. Have you tried different cables. I now this can be an issue with Apple. If you have than maybe, just maybe the new hub is defective. Honestly at this point you may need to bring it to a dealer.

Probably a really dumb question but when you replace the USB hub what do you do for Aux port then?

All you are doing is swapping out one USB hub for another. The original does not support CarPlay or Android Auto and the new one does. Do not forget you also have a second USB hub in the console.

Im getting mixed messages on this. Some people tell me sync 3 works with AA no matter what and it’s only apple that doesn’t because of usb.

When you replace the USB in the armrest it updates the one in the console as well right?

edit: here’s an example.
I got the update here http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41251, all you need to do is load up files to a USB stick, load it onto the car and you're good to go Android Auto will work with just the update . If you need CarPlay you have to update the USB module with something like this http://www.fordparts.store/oe-ford/hu5z19a387a took 5 minutes to install and CarPlay works great on my 2016 Mustang Ecoboost. Hope that helps

I am also having this problem. I updated to SYNC 3.0 and bought the new hub from Levittown Ford and nothing. I have a 2015 F150 with the upgrade kit and that works fine. Not sure what is going on with my 16 GT. I have done the master reset and nothing pops up. Just goes to the regular USB Indexing.
