It was just put out to await shipment yesterday, MDRN.

Wow. Is this normal? 27 days from production to shipment? Or should I be worried about it being held up over QC issues or anything like that? That just seems like a really long time.

At the dealership now, quality looks good. Rear window looks to be damn close on both sides. What I'm not happy about is it came with 43 miles on it. :frusty: Must have went through QC? :shrug:

Aliens took it for a joy ride! That's my big concern. Was there for 11 days. When I get it, I hope there's tread left on the rear tires and it doesn't smell like burnt clutch.

Great news about the window! What's in store? Black stripes? Black mowhawk hood?

My dealership/salesman is completely useless. Today my salesman told me that the car was "sent to the plant on 9/24" and that there is "no ETA yet". FordService online told me something completely different. Additionally the salesman told me that the car is being sent by train, so I should expect delays. My window sticker says the car will be sent via Convoy (aka Truck). Why is my dealership telling me garbage information?

Mine says convoy and is being delivered via train and then trucked to the dealer. So I would take the method of transport with a grain of salt. Deysha (Fordservice) will be most up to date. Most sales guys probably don't know how to look this info up or don't have access. Or have to get the manger to do.

If you have a link to your window sticker, it should show the blend date.

Don't know about salezman vs. FordService (Deysha is ALWAYS corrrect!), but I DO now know that "CONVOY" on a window sticker is meaningless. Have witnessed it first hand.

Also, salezmen are generally like politicians and truck dispatchers... you can always tell when they're lying. How? Their lips are moving. Also, Deysha is just the messenger, any real problems lie with either FoMoCo or the dealer... or both!

Yes my window sticker says blend date 10/01/2015. That's why I'm so frustrated at the lies from my salesman.

The fact that it had 43 miles is normal for a vehicle that was selected at the factory for quality checks/runs, angermgmt14. Normally there is a paper inside the vehicle stating so.

Deysha, can you send me a PM of what the paper would look like? I asked them to leave everything on the car. They sent a pic of the car on the trailer arriving at the dealer and it had a huge sticker on the driver's side window. When I got there it wasn't on there. The window sticker was on the passenger side window. They did seem to leave everything else as is. (Plastics covering everything) I really hope that they didn't go for a long "joyride" I will not be happy!

As far as plans go, I have Corsa Extreme, UPR Catch Can and Suntek PPF going in next week. Also have new wheels/tires coming in about a month. Type and sizes are in my sig. Seeing that OW with the stripes makes me wish I ordered them.

And it's not in the rail yard in Kansas City. All kidding aside, this looks like a bad omen for me. Hope they get it to ya pronto!

It was supposed to go to Fullerton but ended up in Bakersfield.

Good news is my dealer is taking care of it and the car will be flat bed towed over tomorrow. So, HOPEFULLY I will be picking it up tomorrow.

LOL yea if I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have luck at all. Good luck to you, it appears both of our transit journeys have been interesting to say the least.

Wow thats such terrible luck. But at least you might be getting it a day early, Mine is still in Mira Loma... ETA 3 days. Hate waiting when its right down the street.
