Thought it would be kind of neat for everyone on here with a 2016 who ordered to keep track of each others builds to get an idea of scheduling, eta and just an idea of how long and what options.

Nothing on this spreadsheet is required so feel free to only enter with info your comfortable with. I don't mind posting my info, so check it out.

Side note maybe it could help out Deysha, i'm sure she already has a good method of tracking info but whatevs
Just added my info  Hopefully very soon I can update it with blend date, date built and DELIVERED :headbang:

I just want to give Deysha a thumbs up here. I PM'd her with a delivery question and she replied with information the dealer didn't want to be bothered or don't know how to get me  I bought a V6 that was ordered for dealer stock that just got on the train so is not something I can track on COUTUS from what I understand, though the dealer can with the right information.

Deysha you're a real plus for the Ford Motor Company and probably helps it sell more cars :ford:
I agree wholeheartedly. My order started as a 2015, then morphed into a 2016, so I was worried that the options might get mixed up. In addition, it was built on "day one" of the 2016 model year, so I was concerned that there might be quality control issues. My fear was that I would have to wait a long time, and still not get the car I ordered.

The guys at my dealership were friendly, and I think that they tried to be helpful about my questions, but most of the time they could only give me an estimated delivery date, which kept changing. Deysha always responded to my status requests, and gave me answers when I couldn't get them from the dealer. This really helped to assure me that things were going smoothly.

In the end, everything turned out OK, and my car was delivered two weeks BEFORE the estimated delivery date :). Deysha, I can't speak for anyone else, but I really appreciate the info you passed on to me :first:.

Added my info as well. Should we add a column for whether your vehicle is being shipped by rail or by truck? Would be interesting to see what the difference it makes in time of delivery.

Thanks for the information. Several forum members cars are scheduled for the week of September 21st. Hopefully this will be a posturing move and in the end doesn't lead to a strike.

The way it used to work was the negotiating company was struck first. Been away from the business for quite a while now though, so don't know if that still holds true. I did have earlier information that it would be Chrysler, and the same source told me that the first plant they'd strike would be the Chrysler transmission plant in Kokomo, Indiana. The reason being, it'd shutdown Chrysler's whole operation within a week. I just hope it all works out and the union doesn't want too much, and the car companies don't get too stingy. Bad for everybody that way. Besides... I WANT MY MUSTANG!

As always Deysha is AMAZING! Just received a PM that my car is going in for production 09-16 with an EDD of 10-10. I think it is so amazing that Deysha is on these borads. I haven't ordered a car before but I have a hard time imagining that other brands have people like Deysha to provide constant updates any time you ask. Hats off to Ford and especially Deysha.

Ordered a Shelby GT 350 on 9/4/15 and not sure when they will start production. Ford tracking is not working. Any help would be appreciated. The dealer said I have a order # and that the allocation has been pulled. But that's all I know.
Thanks in advance. Ford Service.

Has anyone else had the problem that I currently have? Basically the order number I was given (R111) is unavailable to the COTUS or Deysha, I called my dealership and they said that order number was just internal to their system, that once they submit to Ford it gets assigned a new order number.

They've said they don't have that number and will basically hear no updates until 4 days before it ships when they'll get the VIN.

I am going to try to call them again to get someone to take time to find that Ford number if possible, but was wondering if anyone had any advice.

Thanks

Tell the dealer you want a copy of the priced DORA, pronto! That's Ford's acknowledgement that they received the order and it is in the Ford system. No promise of being built at this time, just an order receipt. The DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) will have everything Deysha needs to track it down. AND SHE WILL! Order number, dealer number, and a breakdown of what was ordered including options. Some dealers just don't want to be cooperative, or salesmen just to ignorant to get with the program. Have them e-mail you a scanned copy ASAP. If need be, remind them that YOU are the customer, and they're not doing you a favor. Favors don't cost $$$, and you're spending yours!

That is all...

This just in...

The UAW has agreed to extend its contract with Ford workers past the midnight expiration as the union focuses talks with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Maybe Aragorn was right, "There is always hope."

Tomo... try this to help you get up to speed with what's going on. Would have sent it with the last post, but was as work... and the link is at the house:

Process is the same for cars and trucks.
