2016 Mustang Orders Placed Thread (Vote/Share Here)

My salesman put in my order while I was sitting there on 5 January, and immediately gave me a copy of the "Vehicle Order Confirmation" (He said that was the DORA) which listed the dealer number, order number, and all the options I ordered. And prices too (retail, invoice, and A/Z/D/X plans).

I got anxious after a bit and contacted Deysha, who promised me she'd stay on top of my order and keep me briefed.

I got my VIN on 22 January, with a tentative build date and ETA at my dealer of 2 March.

My car was built on 5-8 February (Bracketing the Super Bowl, if I recall correctly), on the rail car 11 February, and in my hands yesterday! Absolutely worth the wait!

Deysha was great! Definitely contact her!

Hey guys!

Fairly new to this forum, but I've been reading up on it for a while now. I was just wondering... how long after your order date did you get confirmation that the order went through? When do you get the VIN and the build date? I assume the length of time can vary, but when should I expect to hear from the dealer about any of this information?

Order date was February 23, 2016. I know i'm being extremely eager, but any information would be appreciated.

Hello all, I'm new to the forums and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris and I placed my order for my 2016 GT Premium on 1/31/16. The car spec is Ruby Red, 6M, Performance Package, Navigation and Recaros. I have my VIN, just waiting for my window sticker to come available and to find out build and delivery dates.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but didn't see it. Does anybody know if you can go and see your car being built? I know other manufactures offer it, just never heard about Ford.

Deysha, Thank you, I will PM you as soon as I have an order #. I'm still waiting for a copy of the DORA and/or an order #. It's been several days (and I have been asking the dealer) and I'm starting to get annoyed/worried. :(

EDIT: I just received my order # and was told I'll have a copy of the DORA by the end of the day.

Ordered mine 1/14/2016, blend date is tomorrow, and the official Ford ETA is March 27, but that's usually a worst-case estimate (seems like lots of guys here in the NW are experiencing 2-3 week shipping times...)
