Really need some help for what should be a super simple project. I'm installing MP Concepts turn signals on my 15 Mustang. It's a basic install but I've spent forever on it and can't figure out what's wrong. It's only 3 wires; 1 goes to the headlight connector, and the other 2 tap into the turn signal connector. I've checked everything like 15 times. My only guess is it's not like old school lights where you have ground and 12V and it's either there or it isn't. The driver's side works fine but I can't get the passenger's side working.
The black wire from the light goes to the black wire on the turn signal on both sides. The yellow wire from the light goes to the blue wire on the driver's side and yellow wire on the passenger's side (same wire position). The white wire goes to the light gray with purple stripe on the headlight connector on both sides.
At first I used the vampire quick clips included. When it didn't work I checked with an ohm meter and tested through the headlight connector/turn signal connector all the way through the new connector that goes to the new turn signal and got 0 ohms for all 3. After an embarrassingly long time working on it, I decided to get rid of the vampire clips and soldered the wire in. I've rechecked many times and have good continuity all the way through. I even went as far as putting a pin through the insulation right near the light housing and connecting the multimeter there all the way back to the connector they are tapped from, all good.
I've taken the passenger's side light and plugged it in on the driver's side and it works fine. I've even plugged the old light into the now unused turn signal socket and it still works fine. I'm at a loss and really could use some help. Please?
