No. He had a few things to say too. 40s is not "old man status". Hes not expressing it as an opinion. Hes chosing to express himself as fact and telling people to prove him wrong. Way to be just as ignorant. Passing opinions off as facts is when i argue. You must not be very observant.

Listen, you people are on a Witch hunt and it is hilarious.
Not really, he really just slapped you down pretty hard core with that post. If that had happened to me, I would have tucked tail and slunk away. There was no witch hunt, he responded directly to your verbal vomit, aka "now you say they handle better then a BMW (insult)(insult)(insult)".

I'm surprised at the numbers for the STI especially being a solid second slower 0-60 than the GT. I rode in an ex coworkers '15 STI and it was a rocket from a dig but it did seem to hit a wall pretty early on though.
I wanted a pre-owned STI before the purchase of my S550 but wifey said it was a young guy's car, code for ricer. I have always been impressed with that platform, a true pocket-rocket. Within the last month I have taken down two. They are impressive but I do love my V-8.

it did happen in another thread a few months ago.

Glad you can tell me what sti owners do. Considering ive owned 4 sti and worked at a subaru dealer previously as a master tech. I daily one right now. You can stop trying to tell me what you think sti can and cant do. Youre ignorant on the topic obviously.

You were not arguing with me, more like you were arguing with yourself.

Like you are now doing again. Trying to bully peeps because you think you now something. We are talking about STOCK Subarus and how they handle. In which they don't, until you start buying things that make them handle.

We know this, you know this. Don't play dumb.

Nobody talks about how great of a handling cars Subaru's are... who? When..? What magazines mentions it..? What writer says I wish my BMW handles like my Subaru.. lol

Please stop. You are embarrassing yourself. I am not saying they suck, they just are what they are... average. Nothing more. To make them better you need aftermarket.

Understeer... understeer, undertseer...

Wow,
This guy is truly the energizer of bad reason. I probably only respond to something this ridiculous became he seems like they typical internet troll that *has* to respond and I figure it’s entertaining enough to read this verbal vomit enough to see more.

What planet does he live in to say this “What writer says I wish my BMW handles like my Subaru”.

In what universe is a Sti compared to a BMW?

The Sti is a near race built car for the road with one of the most advanced AWD systems made. Almost as cheap and bare bones as you can get (in the tradition of previous cars like the S2000 and Lotus Elise). Most BMW’s are near luxury classed slush box’s loaded down with weight and size. For example, the 3 series today is near the same size as the 7 series 20 years ago.

As to the comment “Nobody talks about how great of a handling cars Subaru's are”… well that’s difficult to translate since he only references “Subaru” this time instead of “Sti” which makes no sense… stay on topic. Stop making up your own arguments.

But you really must live in a world of blinders (or are truly that naive) so say that about an Sti. I really think you are just trollin’ pretty hard now and are quite the epic fanboy.

I am not comparing a Subaru to a BMW.

I am comparing your comments.. to the likeliness of someone comparing it to a BMW. I was talking about the Mustang GT vs STi when some of you pouty-puffs got all mad when I mentioned the STI was not a great handling car. It is average.

I did not say it sucked, or was lousy, just not great. That is when all the thread-crappers jumped in and started trying to defend their egos and calling me names. No need to discuss BMW or what those cars are. Just what the STi is not.

Going off subject to tell us about how an STi is near race built, does not save it from the fact that the STi handles about as well as a Dodge Dart. And needs aftermarket parts to work the suspension to make it handle better, is a tell-tale.

No blinders. The STi is not a phenomenal handling car, it is not even great. It does not even get a honorable mention. It is just average. And that is what every review and test shows and proves.

I have seen the STi in the slolom, it is not composed.

Yeah im done. Hes beyond help.

Of coarse you are done. You will not find any review, or test that shows the STi with phenomenal handling, or better handling than a Mustang, or BMW, or Porsche , or 1M, or a Nismo, etc..

Because the STi is an average handling sporty car. You are loony to even try and make that claim the STi has outstanding handling characteristics. It does not.

You trolling on me, will never change that.

The previous generation STi was always known to be less balanced than the EVO, which I think is the closest direct competitor.

However, this latest STi seems to have made strides in the handling department. I don't know if it is as sharp as an EVO, but I seem to recall MT preferring it to the M235i and the CLA AMG model. Or maybe that was the regular WRX. In any case, MT had a comparison of the two German vehicles and at the end had a WRX show up as their favorite.

Here's the video I was thinking of:

The STi is only considered "kewl" or a sport car because it is AWD and an obnoxious spoiler. Not because of it's lousy fragile power plant or handling.
and it begins.....

Are you saying the STi has lousy handling? I don't know about that.
yeah, are you?

Yes, I am saying the Sti does not handle all that great. It is not a BMW, nor a Mustang GT.
Thank you for confirming that you were saying it has "lousy handling" and comparing it to a BMW for the first time.

It is pretty sad when STi owner thinks his car handles better than a BMW, or as a good as a Mustang GT. Perhaps they need to go drive those cars.
Ahh, the BMW thing again.

So wait, you people are trying to tell me, that out of the box an STi is a phenomenal handling car..? (I never said lousy... those are words you people are using)

I just said "not that great".
You didn't say it was lousy? Refer to your first post.

The thread is Mustang GT vs STi and I am telling you which handles better and none of you are claiming otherwise. I said the STi doesn't handle that well you claim I am saying it is lousy.

See how you tards are acting.
Yes, all of the "tards" here are capable of reading the words you type.

Did nobody here mention the fact that that little boxer motor sounds like shit? Literally; sounds like you're standing outside the public bathroom at grand Central station. They call it "that subie rumble" but it feels like cancer in my ears.

Not to mention the fact that you are required to wear a vibrantly colored tank top, white sunglasses, and a flat billed hat to drive one; skinny jeans are optional.

As for the weather argument and "racing in the rain or snow" you guys are throwing out - I LOVE not helping Subaru drivers when they're stuck. Pull over, make sure everyone is alive, laugh straight in their dumbass, smug "awd-is-the-best" face, and leave.

This thread is a hoot and I always love when these 4 banger owners think their cars compare to those 2 or 3 classes higher. Yes there can be exceptions, but reliability and comfort go out the window. 9/10 times I don't have an issue with the cars, but the dumbass owners with there "I<3haters" and "Dapper" stickers just piss me off.

They are great cars for single mothers, not those chasing performance.
