Me too. It's one of the reasons I got rid of my track bikes and plan to run my car every now and then instead. I could only get in about 10 minutes of track time per session before getting light headed in the summer at t-hill.
What shop is doing the suspension work for you?
If you think it can be rehabbed, I would buy a 5-10 year old car with an auto as a daily driver. Drive it until you are able to drive the GT, and then sell the auto daily for around what you spent on it.

Did the normal seats hold you pretty well? I'm most likely going to be getting them, but part of me still wants to spring for the Recaros. I will be doing several track days per year.
They have been doing a lot of development of the 3.5L V6TT in their TUDOR LeMans prototype car, so I'm not surprised that they are putting it in the GT considering the LeMans racing ambitions they have for that car.
