2016 Mustang Ecoboost Pony Package spotted

Its missing the pony fender badges... why did Ford determine people don´t like the Tri-Bar Pony anymore? Its a classic Mustang logo. The V6 Mustangs have it in the trunk lid for without any color, which makes it look horrible.

This pony package needs the tri bar pony badges on the fenders, and larger rocker stripes, those tiny little stripes look bad.

I´m glad they are not using the corral grille and the chrome trimmed tail lamps. Those should be kept exclusively for the 2015 special editions and 50th year packages.

Ford is installing cheaper convertible top on the car. The car has an ugly silhouette with the top up. The S197 top had a better design to it.

Hmm, pin strip on the side looks okay. Reminds me of the previous generation premiums.
Wheels do look base level however. Wouldn't spend the extra $$ to have them thrown on.
I like that they added the Pony Stripe logo on the grill but with the grill being chrome I just can't help but think Aston Martin. Which I guess isn't a total bad thing but it'd take some getting used to to look at.

Not sure how Ford could mess this up so badly...it's a really poor design/package for the S550.

The wheels are very boring and the grille reminds me of a fridge shelf. The chrome molding is nice, but I'd like to see it carried out on the tail lights as well.

I honestly haven't seen a S550 convertible that looks good :shrug: The top (up or down) really destroys the entire design of this car. I can also say that this package doesn't help the look or appeal to me in the slightest bit. The chrome bits look cheap. I would've much preferred the old formua, (plain horizontal billet grille, pony fender badges, and polished bullet-style wheels). I wish they would put the old tri-bar pony emblems on the fenders again... I really liked those.

To me :
- Grille looks like a horrible/cheap DIY job
- it's missing the tribar pony on the fenders
- you can barely see the rocker stripes, which are not long, dark, and wide enough
- and these wheels are just... :barf:

They really missed this package IMO

Why is Ford screwing up the tri-bar pony emblem? Do these designers not understand aspect ratio and proportions? The bars are way too small for the size of the pony. SMH!
