According to a somewhat reliable source I know personally there will be changes for the GT at least... *cough* more horsepower *cough* and some other things I won't say haha. Thats whats holding me back from purchasing a 2015. If it is true, remember I called it first. :D
I hope you are right

Don't worry about the 5 factory HP. It will still be under 400 at the wheels. You can make 450 easily at the wheels on the 2015 with headers/catback/CAI and a tune.

The tune alone can get you 20-25hp or more the wheels. They may tweak the factory calibration but the engine's potential will still be the same.

Will The 2016's Be The Same As The 2015's?

I may be getting a 2015 Mustang V6 however I was just curious if their will be anything different on the 2016 Mustang V6 Coupe? Will their be different options like leather, Sync 3 with Navigation, Bliss and those toggle switches with the Wet/Snow mode? I guess those would be all the options on the premium package right? Or will it just be the same as the 2015's? Thanks, Craig.

The question particularly for the V6 is interesting because on one hand they're trying to force the ecoboost platform for the future but on the other they're selling a lot of the V6's. I feel like they'll continue to offer the V6 only as a base to and continue heavy favoritism for the ecoboost so that the new ecoboost engines are well received in the engine refresh. But that's just my guess.

It's not a sure thing but that's just what I was told. If there is not any real changes then you can probably just snag a 2015 model for a good price since the dealers will be trying to get rid of them to make room for the 2016.

I'm hoping there'll be more than just a horsepower bump. We know it's getting a sync 3. I'm hoping for a performance pack with maybe a 10-speed auto and some more color options.

10 Speed isn't even in the F-150 yet and that's the first application of it. So you won't see it in the 2016 almost for sure.

Also remember this, you don't want a car with a brand new transmission in the first year. Too much stuff that can go wrong.

That 6 speed is tested and many feel 6 speeds is far plenty for the Mustang.

Wow, that nav system is way quicker at processing requests; that's probably my least favorite part of SYNC. The maps look much better too.

It is all-new hardware in the headunit, so it is not software upgradable. It has a different processor.
