It adds up to a lot of money. To equip with a PP radiator vs a stock one doesn't cost Ford $640. Maybe $50 more? I don't know, but if you replace the stock unit later then it would cost YOU $640. They were putting a radiator on the car anyway, but on a PP a little more expensive one. Same for most other major components. PP parts come from a bin like anything else and the choice to equip a PP car obviously doesn't cost Ford more than $2500 total.
It's a bargain for me because I don't have replace those parts later. Buying the factory wheels from Ford? Exact replacements are more like $1k apiece. Thank goodness that Ford Racing wheels are so much cheaper. The differences are slight (I think) so I can't figure out why the huge price difference.
