chrome on cars in 2015.....bleh

Too much chrome can be gaudy, but too much blackout is just unoriginal nowadays. Now that Ford and Chevy are actually offering them as appearance options maybe that will finally kill the "cool" factor of it.

The black wheels and other "blackout" appearance treatments are a fad - just like tail fins in the 1950s. It will have its day and then go away (sooner would be ok with me).

+1. Can we be done with the blackout look already?

I don't mind the Black...it's just not for me!! I agree ..a passing fad that can't pass fast enough. It's like the wheels are always dirty??? The "stealth" look has had it's day but now everybody is on the bandwagon!! Give me some Bling wheels!!! :D:clap2:

I like black wheels, but the rest of the stuff being blacked out I don't care for. I have had chrome wheels in the past and I just find them a pain to keep looking clean on a daily basis. So I told myself I would never get chrome wheels again. Other light colored wheels aren't bad, but I enjoy black wheels on my Dark Shadow(2004)/Sterling(2013)/Magnetic(2016?) Grey's.

To prove that monochromatic schemes are not only tasteful but also increases the value, here are some excellent examples:

$20,000,000

$44,000,000

$8.00 USD
Didn't blackout the "GT" emblem or the exhaust tips; not blacked out enough ;)

These are the wheels going on my car. They have a anodized polished lip. That is some bling:D

Maybe it's just me, but if you squint hard and look long enough, it appears like there's a lion's head in the left blue one and a rabbit in the blue one on the right. I'm a little iffy on the rabbit thing though.

Very good point. I'll likely stay with black.
Changed my mind at the last minute and went with nickel PP wheel option (for extra $$$) . Order submitted by dealer. I felt that with the Vert - there is less orange on the car with the black top. Felt a little too Halloween like with the black wheels.

Damn i wish ford would add syncro rev match to the manual transmissions for 2016.
Probably not going to happen though.
