They look silver to me... (middle bottom)

Silver and Argent are the same. Ford is actually calling these "Nickel finish." But they are not black, and that's great.

Won't be an option in 2016, so you may as well get a 2015. However, 2015 ordering is over in less than a week so hurry up if you're placing an order!

Sent from SYNC in my '14 Mustang GT...
Does anyone think PP for GT Vert for 2016? That might sway me from a '15..
Looks like your prediction was wrong, Brian ;) As long as you're getting a manual, you can get a GT Vert with PP for 2016

sorry but ain't nothing about sync3 that makes me regret my purchase, especially not some silly infotainment tablet wannabe center... i'd rather ya know, drive the actual 400hp car.

Everything about your comment is one big disappointment.

I have that painted "Nickel-Luster" finish on my 50th Anniversary car. It's nice, definitely, but it's disappointingly not chrome; it doesn't shine and sparkle in the sun the way you want wheels to do. Wheels are jewelry for your car, and they should glitter as much as any diamond bracelet or gold chain. It's definitely a letdown.

Yeah, I think a good example is the 50th AP wheels against the 50th LE wheels. The difference between painted silver and polished/painted accents is pretty striking.

The 50th LE wheels and the 20's are the only two that are really at that quality level. The other wheel options vary from "pretty nice" down to "just OK" down to bleah.

I guess blingy wheels are a taste thing. I LIKE shiny wheels, at least ones with tasteful designs (have certainly seen some ugly shiny wheels, LOL). I mostly don't care for painted (non silver or charcoal) wheels. Black is not on my list.

Yeah how about that! So my order on the 2015 hasn't been submitted yet due to two orders ahead of me. My sales guy says I have until tomorrow AM to cancel. I think I would like the PP on my Vert in addition to the other goodies - Sync 3, etc. I could have the 2016 by mid-September he predicts or maybe I just order in Feb. and have a year from now.

Not counting cost of money - my cost to get it sooner is just insurance I think. Given I'm in Upstate NY - I would only get to use 5 or 6 weeks so not sure it's worth it.

But maybe there will be incentives in February that won't be around now so there is a cost factor too.

Thoughts anyone? Stay with 2015 and get in late June; Order 2016 now; Order 2016 in Feb.

Pretty exciting that there will be Argent wheels for the PP. That matters to me a WHOLE lot more than does Sync 3. End the ugly!
Agreed.

Although I have grown to like my black PP wheels (especially with black lugs), they influenced my color choice to some degree to Magnetic since they look better with darker colors to my eye (and I had no desire to spring for another set of wheels).

Had there been a choice for '15 though, I probably would have picked silver with the silver wheels, all else the same.

Oh well. I loves my horse.

Order '16 now. Why wait till Feb next year...at that point you might as well wait for the '17s.

If I were in your shoes, I'd order a 2016 now. Definitely pass on the 2015 unless you really want the 50th AP package or just the 50th anniversary year for collector's sake. I ordered my 2015 in November and got it delivered in January, which seems silly but I got several nice top-down days driven in January (most people don't realize how crazy the weather can be out here!) If you order a 2016 as soon as order banks open, you'd be at the top of the list once the model year opens up, so you should get yours in August/September I'd think. I got mine less than two months from the order date and it was one of the early convertibles, and also was during the holidays.

There may even be incentives by the time you get delivery (at least $500 I bet). Sure, you *may* get a little more incentives if you wait until February, but that's the gamble we all take :) I don't see much more than $1000 incentives on a Mustang anyway...I've seen $2000 even $2500 on Fusions and such, but not a lot on Mustangs, at least not until it is the previous model year (such as if you buy a 2015 off the lot in September of this year)

Agreed. Get the '16.

Ive been in the queue for my dealer and he knows I've been waiting for the '16s so as soon as the banks are open, he's putting mine in for Job 1 and most likely priority 10. Hope it can make it here by late August since they have this sorta down now...I bet a car can be through the factory in a few weeks now easily.

My thought is that by February, the stories of the 2017 refresh will be out and then you'll be asking yourself if you should wait for a 2017 in February of 17.

Just order it. Ford is all about continuous change and improvement. You will never win the waiting game.

Thanks all - great advice. You're right about the bar constantly moving. I just emailed my sales guy and asked him to put me in the front of the line if he can for a 2016. So glad I could change to the 2016. I need to decide on the black or nickel wheels. Funny - I really liked the black wheels I saw on a fastback PP but not so sure now. Opinion on which would look better with Competition Orange?

Personally I like matte black on a bright color like CO or TY. If I was able to get PP it wouldn't matter to me because I probably would have had them powder coated matte black. I've seen the black PP wheels in person but don't like the way they look. They're also a pain to keep clean since they're so shiny. I'd say go for silver if you don't want to mess with powder coating.
