More like October I thought.
Production starts 8/1. Figure a month for the first deliveries.
So September for the very first builds, ramping up to full volume very quickly.

I'll be annoyed if it takes much longer. October starts getting dark and wet in NorCal.

I'm sure that the ones starting first week of August will be hitting the dealers by Sept. We cannot compare first model year to second model year deliveries.

I hope you are right. A September delivery would be nice. I am prepared for a delay though.

Yup.
I know ordering on day 1 doesn't guarentee anything, but I'm working with the highest volume dealership in CA.. They have allocations, I'll be watching when the order goes in to ensure top priority. It should be a week 1 build. Exactly what I want.

My original order went in on June 20 (order banks opened May 20). I ended up ordering a car from a different dealership, but the one I ordered May 20 ended up getting delivered to the dealership February 2.

What was in this package the last time it was an option?

Ford rarely ever upgrades engines after one year. The mid cycle refresh will likely be 2018 maybe 2017. Maybe it will get more power if the new 10 spd automatic arrives.
Except in 2011, when the 2010 body got the Coyote V8 and the 305HP V6. 2010 was not the best year.

I always felt bad whenever I saw a 2010 model... like, dude, you got shafted...

The 2010-2011 was a booboo. The 2010 was supposed to get the 5.0 but development was delayed. So they tossed the refresh out with the old motor. Then when the 5.0 was ready, they made the swap. Anyone who did any research before buying a 2010 would have found fairly good evidence of the coming changes. I wasn't even in the market at the time and heard that. It was also a very unusual and explainable circumstance. The 5.0 was known to be in development long before the refresh. What's in development now? Nothing as big as the TiVCT 5.0 for sure.

No big HP jumps if any at all.

It was very well known that new engines were coming in 2011 though, its not liked Ford surprised anyone who did at least a moderate amount of internet research
Unfortunately the majority of people have no clue about refresh cycles of any product (maybe other then Apple now).
