Seriously, it doesn't have a name but I guess "no name" works on a couple of levels. This is my first mustang and my first build thread. I've always tried to make my vehicles my own and scoured forums for ideas, tips and answers but I've also always been more of a lurker. I'd thought I'd break out of my shell just a little with this one and at least try and document my changes.

So to start, the stock picture from delivery day...

I ordered a number of little things to begin with - start small and build up right?

The first things I ordered were side quarter window louvers, painted to match and tinting for the rear lights and headlight corners.

Quarter window louvers (rear window louver is on the to do list)

Headlight corner tint

Rear tint

Blackwind could work - any number of things could work but for the moment, we just call it the mustang. The nickname will come in time. Our F150 gets called "Blue" because she's blue of course. That's also the reason I went with black instead of DIB - the blues would clash in our driveway. I may come to regret that choice - we live on a dirt road and I have no garage, the stang is going to be a bit on the dirty side a lot I think.

The oil separator showed up today and hopefully tomorrow I'll get a package from CJPonyparts - Steeda jacking rails, Redline hood struts and gloss black 5.0 emblems coming from them. Hood struts are going in first, then I'll put in the oil separator, the jacking rails next then time to start budgeting for an exhaust. I've changed my mind on which exhaust several times in the last week but I think I've finally settled on a Solo Mach Thunder with black tips.

UPS delivered my order from CJP today!

UPR's oil separator in black - I'll put this is in the next couple of days.

A few cosmetic mods...

Steering wheel decal courtesy of Chameleon

Red welt accent around stereo/climate console. I'm toying with adding some more to the interior but I don't want to overdo it and may just stick with this.

I put the Redline hood struts in and I have to say I'm really impressed with them. The quality of the kit and the instructions were awesome. You do have to drill a hole in the battery cover to accommodate the bottom strut connector but it was a piece of cake and the kit included a step down drill bit for it. I installed the struts with the Redline logo facing inward to give it a clean look from the outside. The logo is just a sticker so I'll probable remove the sticker eventually for a completely clean look. I also installed the gloss black 5.0 emblems.
Here's a pic of the CS seat and the seat belt pad I picked up off of Amazon to deal with the seat belt digging into my neck.

Looks like it's at home

Looking good.." a horse with no name"...remember the song..here's your name : Black GT/CS :a horse with no name! And get this song by a group called America..what could be American than the mustang.

That car looks awesome by itself..any plans for cold air and exhaust?

I thought of exactly that song as I wrote it had no name. No plans for a CAI but I do want to add an exhaust eventually. I'm slowly building a list of bookmarks of things I want to add. I don't plan on racing the vehicle although I do want to do a performance class just to see what it can do and gain confidence. This is a daily driver that is going to get about 150 miles a week on back roads. I want it to handle well and be fun and I want it to be uniquely mine.

Picked up a gt350r wheel this week and finally got around to installing it. The alcantara makes a huge difference in the feel of the wheel - much nicer grip. While I had the old wheel in pieces, I decided to do a little more customizing. I taped off the pony on the center and painted it red along with the bezels. I need to do a little bit of touch up but overall I'm happy with how it turned out.

In the latest updates I added a rear window louver and painted a few things under the hood. I know the louvers aren't everyone's thing but I've always thought they looked bad-ass. For under the hood (and the calipers when I get to them) I wanted something a little less flashy than red so I went for gold. My first attempt at painting any of this stuff and while things didn't come out as well as I would have liked, they turned out pretty good.

I do not think any of those colors work with each other. (Interior accents should match engine... and also the striping and color of car)

Try an off color of burnt red, or smoke silver, etc.. something subtle.

Great start . doing anything different with wheels or tires?
