I think that's a bit too sweeping of a generalization... Some DI engines are pretty good at avoiding serious build-up issues. Like the 2GR-FSE that Lexus has been using in the IS350 for a decade now.As for the OP, I would avoid the FA motors. They have DI build up as soon as 7000 miles. Enjoy paying 700-1200 to have that cleaned every 15-20k. Some cars with DI have reported being down as much as 40whp after 25k. All the mpg increase that DI brings you, itll will not make up for the cleaning costs. Infact id be willing to wager youre negative on savings. Anyone that says otherwise on Iwsti or Nasioc are morons. Infact most of them are anyway.
The cloth interior is great for my girlfriends big ass
Phew.100lb dog
Ive heard they arent as bad as some engines out there. However none of the lexus techs ive ever spoke with have spoken highly of their DI. They dont like it either.I think that's a bit too sweeping of a generalization... Some DI engines are pretty good at avoiding serious build-up issues.
