you guessed wrong. Its the biggest reason i left subaru. The majority of my work was regular maintenance. a lot of shops are paid on book time not actual time. If a job gives 15hrs book time and you finish it in say, 5 hrs. You get paid for the full 15. I didnt make much more then 40-50hrs a week majority of the time. Most of my work was oil changes. I work at bmw and i currently get 110hrw weekly. Ive worked at toyota, ford, subaru and bmw. Ive been a master tech at all of them. But all that other opinion based comments about 4 cylinders this and that, is incorrect. If you think subaru owners interior isnt nice sit in the evo instead. Most subaru owners hate nor love the interior. Looks are always subjective. The interiors are not junk, they usually dont rattle and are solid. While not high end quality its not low end. Everything youve posted is subjective, assumed or opinion. Subaru's are not for everyone but they are great reliable vehicles. You're a master mechanic and I'm guessing you have pretty good job security with all these cars, I wonder why?
Any 4- banger with boost is bound to have issues. It's the sad truth, you have to worry about the turbo, AWD, and seals. IMO, they are nice looking cars, but just way too expensive for what they are.
Insurance rates SUCK on subarus, don't quote me on this but I believe they are the highest insurance cost due to the most tickets, wrecks etc... Why? Because the younger crowd LOVES subies.
The interior is pretty bland and any Subaru owner will admit it. To most wrx owners their defense is "interior doesn't matter too me". Sit in a wrx premium and and ecoboost premium and tell me which is a better cabin.
I'm not ragging on you or your cars, i just don't think they are a good purchase.
They do sound nice though! Especially the bug eyes.
