Do any of you guys feel like your 2015 Mustang has an uncomfortable driving position? First off, I am big dude 6'1" 300lbs so I'm sure that's part of it. I feel like I just cant get my seat adjust right to make the pedals and wheel in a comfortable position. Also I feel like if I sit up even close to straight my head is touching the roof. The odd thing is, my last Mustang was an 04 Cobra and I had no issues with that car. Sure it was a tight fit but I was still comfortable. I also rented a hertz penske 2014 Mustang GT (with recaros) last year on vacation and it was probably the most comfortable Mustang I've driven. I love everything about my 15 except the driving position/ fit ect. Anybody else feel like this? Is there anything I can do get my seat to sit lower to the floor? Let me know, Thanks.

Have you pushed the lever on the side of the drivers seat all the way down? Push it multiple times and the seat lowers.

That is the reason I didn't get the recaro's in this car. If they would have made them electric, I would have got them

^ What he said, I've heard people that were like 6'2+ and had no issues with the the seats once they adjusted the height.

Im 6'0" at 200 LBs I fit like a glove. However, I spend a lot of time in the gym and I can feel my back wanting to squeeze out. Guess I'll have to take it easy on back day for awhile. Back to the seat...I feel like Ford might have tried to appeal more to the athletic build for these seats. The older ones felt a bit wider which would negate the purpose of having a Recaro seat, to hold you in. You can get an extension for the clutch pedal to sit back a little further. Other than that maybe get some aftermarket seat rails if there are any.

Edit: Assuming you already know about the lever on the left that raises and lowers the seat and you have it all the way down already.

Same here. 5'11' 220 and it's a very tight fit in the seat. Then again I get the same feeling in an s2000 and my mr2 turbo. Just have to live with it. I also visit the gym on a regular basis. My cobra is also much tighter than I remember it being back when they were new and I was 40lbs smaller.

I'm 6 foot even with a 54 inch chest and 34 inch waist. I sat in the recaros once, that was a def no go. I love the factory seats though, especially how the headrest adjusts forward to hold your head. (I ride like a gangster, lol...)

Yes, this was one reason I didn't order the Recaro's, was the seating position.

Wow, not what i was wanting to read about those seats. I got a new mustang on the way with cloth recaros. Im 5'11", 215 lbs and ive only had test drive time in a base gt with standard seats. I found those seats to be very comfortable. Read somewhere about the14my recaros being very nice. So I thought 15my seats probably built same way.

IMO the Recaros are not built for anyone taller than 6'1 and bigger than a 36 inch waste.

The recaros are just fine if you aren't seriously overweight. 5'11 and overweight at 220 and they fit me just fine. I've done half a dozen 300+ miles trips in them with no complaints.

Thanks for the input guys, I do have the seat down as far as it will go via the lever on the side. I'm sure I would fit these better if I lose some weight but its really not the width that bothers me its having my head touch the roof ect. Even so I wonder if I could lose a decent amount of weight if it would help. A little extra motivation lol.

My best recommendation for the position is lean it back just a little and pull the steering wheel out until your arms are comfortable. After I did that I have been happy

Long and short torso will have an impact on head room, too.
