I have had a hard time with the S550's headlamps, so a friend of mine redesigned them a little, I actually like this better than what Ford did, What do you think???

What's the main difference, are they all clear? Maybe a side-by-side is in order

On the actual the lamps are outboard of the three-bar LEDs, these are inboard. They have swapped places. I like the projectors outboard because it broadens the front and makes it look wider. Switch them and it gives it a more pinched or narrow look. I can see why some would like it. I'm not a fan though.

Looks like a meld of the SN95 + S550 headlight fixtures. Admittedly interesting.

I actually like this a bit better, because it makes the front end seem more purposeful, more determined. The projecters on the outside edge make the front seem too wide and squinty.

I do like the tree LED's inboard though, so not sure how you'd be able to pull off both.

Still, not a bad look at all IMO.

Here's the stock look for reference.

Actually, they both look pretty good.

I actually like it a bit better too. If you look at the OP's chop, the front grill almost looks like a face, with the HID's being eyes and the LED side bars looking like eyelashes.

It does the other way too. The original looks like linebacker with eye black ready to obliterate some running back up the middle. Or a native American with war paint under the eyes fighting for his people.

I am kind of thinking I like it better, seems to have a more menacing look, be something good for the aftermarket.

I agree with you. Stock looks superior. So stoked to get some, new, bright HIDs. My 80's tech headlights on my current car are really underwhelming.

I like it the way it is stock. The other makes it look crosseyed

Nice work, but I'm going to have to say stock too... The cross eyed look of the S197's HID headlights bugged me so bad that I actually switched to halogen housings! (I could only get HID as standard in my area.)

I guess it's just me, but I don't get the "cross eyed" stuff. The HID's line up vertically with the fogs. JMHO, but I like it better because it's symmetrical and looks more aggressive to me.

Not to hijack this, but it reminds me of a photoshop I saw elsewhere.

He took in the headlights a bit to be a little less long and less wrapped. The best change I think is how this render smooths out the lower edge between the fog lights and the bottom grille to make it look more like a unified piece. The 5.0 is replaced with a GT emblem too, not bad IMO.

As for the "cross eyed" comments, I also dont understand it, and the gills on the outside make no sense since it is supposed to harken back to the gills on the '65 which were on the outside of the grille frame, not the outside of the headlights.
