Anthony is the only guy (to the best of my knowledge) who is building a road course ecoboost. He has a thread where we changes out his PP breaks for GT PP breaks. Pics, weight, and fade.

About 4-5 lbs difference from each rotor/caliper EcoPP to GTPP. Wonder the the difference is between V6 breaks and EcoPP?

Yes, I follow the ecoboost guys closely too.

Cheers!

Reviving thread.

I'm at 4000 ish miles and my brake pads are low (drive it like i stole it everyday...)

The internet has not returned any results as far as brake pads for our cars go, unless its motorcraft (i would like to go with aftermarket like akebono or EBC)

Does anyone have any info?

Some people just love the look of 4 or 6 piston calipers. Either way. You cannot go wrong with EBC or Hawk pads.

Yeah i've been trying to find somebody with an Ecoboost or a GT that is willing to sell his 4 pots brakes.... Would love to put them on.

But as of now, i need to find myself some decent pads for our flimsy two piston calipers...

Check these out FireHive. I'll also probably do this upgrade at some point.

Aside from better braking performance with the EcoBoost PP brakes, is the aesthetics. Those large rotors and big calipers look pretty mean behind the 18's and the PP 19's.

Please keep u posted how they bolt up. If any other parts are needed. (Longer lines and such.) Congrats again. This is a upgrade that is on my radar very soon.

without stomping on the brakes every day (just driving normally) how often should I expect to replace pads?

I will keep everyone updated. From what i've been told in the brake and suspension section, the brake lines from the calipers to the fixed line that connects to the master cylinder should be the same. This should literally be plug and play without any problems whatsoever.
