Car built over a week ago and still have 40 days until delivery. It's obvious my dealer sold me out to the potential of getting somebody to pay a few $ more than me. I thought dealers had to accept X-plan on all cars or no cars, they can't be selective about what cars they want to do x-plan on. Also, I was frustrated that he made me drive 30 minutes to get there, then made me wait another 20 minutes to tell me he is not going to do x-plan on the almost the same car I already bought so I have to wait another 5-6 weeks to get the Mustang I ordered. I would not even have my car serviced at this dealer if I have a choice after I get it. I am still fortunate to be able to afford my first new car, so I just feel like I should not be complaining since I don't want my first new car experience to feel like a bad one. :shrug:

Don't let a schmuck of a dealer spoil it for you. The time is passing. Sorry you have another month to go, but that's a sharp car. You'll be glad you hung in.

Who is supposed to call you? Thats the first I have ever heard of someone being called to confirm production... BTW my car is in transit so I have been through the entire process. You dealer should've given you an order number along with their dealer number.

I have an order number and the dealer number. I track COTUS like it's the lottery, lol. He said 'someone' would call, not sure if he was referring to the dealership or FORD. Sounds like I may not get a call. That's fine with me, I don't want any changes, just want my car to get an EDD and hit production!

He made it sound pretty standard. It sounds like it's not though. Thanks for the reply! Good luck on getting your car soon!

I was told 8-10 weeks. Ive been provided my build date (early Dec.), which would put receiving my ride mid Feb.- early Mar. You and I are pretty close with our order dates. I think the dealership have been told to tell people 6-10 or 8-10 so they can place the orders. Ive come to grips with getting my ride in Feb. (not happy at all about it)

I got an update from the dealer today:
"the car is schedule for the week of Dec 01, in

Flat Rock Assembly Plant, MI

The production will be done in that week and delivery will be advice later."

I'm PRAYING that means I can get the car before Christmas.... What do y'all think?

Well..... got the call today, my DIB has reached Denver. The weather has been nice up until yesterday. Now it is 8 degrees and snowing. Forecast is crap. Just my luck. My car was built on 9-25 and was held in Flat Rock for almost two months. It has been a roller coaster ride. Glad it is here though

I plan on running it for 150,000 miles plus, as my work car, and I am not confident that the turbo will last that long.
I have put 160,000 on my 2008, so I use my Mustang every day, Winter and Summer.

I saw the first 2015 Mustang GT out on the street yesterday. It was a black one with black wheels. I pulled next to him and asked if he got a 'good deal' and he said he had to pay MSRP. He walked into the dealer and bought it without any pre-order. In my case, I tried to order back in May and I was told I was the first Mustang order, the dealer told me I had to wait until the first week in June to place the order, the dealer submitted my order around the 2nd week in July to Ford, and now I have another 35 days left from my May order

I ordered 10/13 build 11/18 at dealer by 12/18 65 days at most 9 weeks expecting 7 weeks or 12/5

Congrats!! Mine went into production this morning. Still hoping for the original December delivery vice the January currently in COTUS. post some pics after the thaw and you can bring it home.

....currently -1 in Denver right now! I don't think those Pirelli Summer tires will like that.

This will be my last entry on this subject as I picked mine up today!
It is very yellow and very beautiful! I have 35 miles on it and have not seen any of the problems that are mentioned on some other threads. Had Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread tires installed before I picked it up. It is now snowing in NE Ohio.............

I just saw one coming home from the gym in silver... pretty stunning at dusk though was not paying attention what model it was but saw a handicap placard on the rearview mirror... Second one seen so far in a 2 week period
