2 Weeks and Frustrated

Not to burst anybody's bubble, but after getting through the Production column in just 4 days, my car's been stalled in Awaiting Shipment for 2 weeks now. And to add insult to injury, the countdown clock says I've only got "2 Days Left" until I can pick it up at my dealer!

Have you contacted Jeff to see if he can see anything on his end?

So I looked on the Etis site and it said 30:11:0002. Now does that mean it's estimated build date is the week on nov 30?

No. That's just a placeholder until it's actually built. Etis won't show build date until after its done.

I called my dealer and asked why I have to wait 6 weeks to pickup my already built car. He said he did not know, but that he has one just like mine in stock now! He said come on down and look at it as it has the 401 package and I only ordered the 400 package, but most of the other stuff was the same. I asked him if I can get it for x-plan on the phone and he first said no, so I told him forget it. He then said to come down and ask in person as it might be possible.

I drove over there today and looked at it. When I got there, the sales guys were all over me. I walked right up to the yellow GT they had and asked the sales crowd for a key so I can look at it. One of them got the key and then another guy came out and said, 'that guy already placed an order' so the sales guy gave me a bad look, told me I should have told him I pre-ordered, locked the car and walked away. After a few minutes, another sales guy (the one I originally worked with to order the car several months ago) came over and let me in the car. When it came to price, the sticker was around $45K MSRP with a 'dealer addon' of around $4K bringing the price to $49K. So we went to the office and after waiting 5 to 10 minutes for him to process somebody else's order he asked me if I want the car he has in stock. I said if the x-plan price is only $3K more, I would probably take it, just run the numbers. He then said the owner will not sell that car at x-plan price to me and I'll have to wait until December to get my car. He also said there are no leasing options for the 'GT' at the moment and there are no dealer/factory incentives. At least I got a good look at what my new car will be. I did like it, so now the wait begins. :chill:

If a dealer did me that I would walk. Tell you on the phone to come in person to talk x plan then say no. A salesman act that way because you didn't say anything. At that point i would have been dealing with a sales manager. Thats just me though

Really short-sighted. He can always sell YOUR car for the inflated mark-up, and make you a satisfied customer. Not very bright.

Dealers have no inside track at the factory: I emailed the Ford Rep that signs on here to see if she can do anything.

I think the dealers know that by December, there's going to be lots of these to pick from and they won't stand a chance to put a markup on them. They're being awfully greedy right now. Capitalism at it's worst.
