I think it's 8-26-14 look above where it shows blend . I am not certain of this someone with more experience correct me if I'm wrong but that is what I think it means . Can you see 2014 look to the right of that where it has blend written
Thank you, thats correct. I Googled it and found an explanation in a 2011 thread with people freaking out about their NEW models. I guess some things will never change :D

Your welcome , I was just trying to help . The crazy thing is that my 2014 came in less than 30 days from the day the dealer placed my order . That was super fast !! I knew this order would not be that fast but like I say it's the Steps that I look forward to which helps the wait . And I certainly don't mind as I'm such a Mustang freak !! Along with my girls amd my son we just love our Mustangs .

I've ordered a couple Mustangs. All from the same dealer. The DORA is what I always ask for and get from them it's the Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement. If I'm not mistaken this is what the dealer gets back from FORD confirming the order . It will contain your actual order number and the dealerships code. This is what you need as far as I know ask for the DORA not the VOC . I'm no expert I just know that all the info about your car order should be on the DORA . I always check the DORA to see that everything is correct as it's usually what you'll be getting . After that I wait for the VIN then look forward to the window sticker . You can always check to see that the sticker is correct too . To me it's like steps . Step 1 DORA Step 2 waiting for the VIN Step 3 Window Sticker (which then usually has your build week) Step 4 production Step 5 Shipping :headbang::headbang::headbang: I don't mind the wait at all it's just those steps :ford:
Thanks for that info about the DORA.

As this is the first order for me, there's lots to find out about and I appreciate the ready exchange of such info by fellow Mustang owners. I'll now be asking my sales agent for a copy of this Dealer Order Receipt
Acknowledgement

How long does it usually take to get a VIN to show up? Mine is showing as in order processing.

It varies. For me it took a month, but I've seen a few people say it took less than a week.

You get a VIN when it gets scheduled. They've stopped scheduling completely until September. So not until then.

Timing is everything.

I just stopped by and asked my FORD Dealer for the DORA and he said there is no DORA available on stock ordered cars...does anyone know if that is correct. I placed an order for my 50th Anniversary LE on 7/3/14 and still have no information on it. The order # he used was a generic order number that they use for all the orders he said (A100) and my sales code is F41052D. When he pulled it up on his computer today, he showed me the screen and all it shows is "ON HOLD". They do have 2 other 2015's released but nothing showing up for my LE? Thoughts?

It isn't scheduled yet, next pull will be the 11th of Sep. Only 500 are scheduled, lots more to go.

Really, that few? I guess I should have figured it but I thought it might have been closer to maybe 1200 or so. It makes sense as they aren't going to be at top speed on the lines right off the bat.

Sure hope mine gets scheduled soon after that 9-11 date. :)

Is that 500 total Mustangs scheduled or 500 LEs?

I took that to mean LEs, but clarification would be nice.

I've been noticing that alot of dealers have only been allocated one mustang, whatever it may be it seems funny looking at dealership inventory, every one seems to be getting one ... dealer to dealer it's their choice of what to order... that's just in the north texas area.... anyone see this?

The only dealer in my area (about a 50 mile radius from me) getting one is the one I ordered from. Hopefully that means I'm the second one in my area to be driving around a '15 unless my dealer holds on to the dealer stock GT until after mine is in. Somehow I doubt that red GT premium automatic is going to sit on the lot for very long.
