I have already ordered '15 Mustangs for our dealership. However, pricing isn't showing yet (still being finalized by Ford), but should show up when the order banks "officially" open on May 20th.

Personally I'd find yourself a new dealership, $5000!! that's just crazy talk. Like the rest of the member's have been saying, $500 to $1000 deposit, that's a little better.

Just make sure it's refundable, just in case!

Ford is building the car on the same line as the Fusion ( non-hybrid) and while they will certainly produce many, the car will remain on " allocation " basis and larger volume dealers will receive more units. I do not think Ford will flood the market with
units....but follow the market...and build to suit. As for dealer markups...there is a real potential of driving prospective customers right out of the showroom...we have
no intention of marking any units above MSRP....like I told the general manager..the showroom is not a " museum " which happened to dealers who marked up the GT500

Will be interesting to see which piece of information will be released first - the price or the weight. What will happen if one finds out their brand new Mustang will weigh 4000lbs after everything has been ordered? :D

German cars.
I am headed to the dealer to order and option out my car. They seem to be wishy washy and won't give me details. They called and said everything can be done over the phone and ask for credit card information...I'd rather do it in person. Will update.

Just for spits and giggles I'm going to guess we will be buying the 2015 Mustang for about $9.40/pound.

3700 lbs x $9.40/lb = $34780

Find another dealer.

Or you can send me $5k, I'll put $500 down, pay $1000 to ship it to you when it comes in and pocket $3500. Just let me know.
No kidding. This is one of the many reasons people don't generally trust car sales folks. Shady.

Not all of course! :)

I'd just tell them it will take a lot for me to consider your dealership for any future purchases if $5000 is what you expect for a deposit. Thanks, I'll be shopping elsewhere...

That dealership would never hear from me again. Or my family. Or my friends.

Hey my name is Joe I work in the Dearborn area. We will be selling the new Mustangs at Village Ford Dearborn at A plan X plan Z plan and retail we will give you any rebates you qualify for and we will also ask for reasonable fully refundable down payments (500 dollars). I'm a Mustang enthusiast I was born and raised in Michigan I'm 25 years old and if anyone needs any assistance in obtaining a new Mustang feel free to contact me. I ordered a 2015 5.0 Guard Mustang coupe I got a base GT with Recaro seats a six speed and a 3.55 rear end. I will hopefully have the car ahead of the public release and I have no problem letting people come by and see the vehicle when it arrives. I love this forum and check it every day I'm pumped for the new Mustang and use this as a wealth of information. I appreciate how this forum breaks news before official releases. Have a good day y'all I'll be around. PS my five liter dream is about to come true!

Hey Joe, after paying full Canadian whack for my Boss 302, I began to see a lot of US bought cars up here. And those owner saved a tonne of cash. Will Mustang fans be able to buy the '15 as well, with full factory warranty? Dearborn isn't that far away.
