Yes that is how it has worked in the past.

TT/PP generally used strictly for internal testing and/or as show cars.

Guess we won't be seeing any reviews anytime soon. That's too bad. I was hoping shortly after the specs are released (you would think no later than next month), there would be some kind of embargo lift and the media could release first drive impressions. It sounds like that wont be happening until the summer.

According to that chart, 2014 orders are closing in about 3 weeks. Shouldn't this have been announced already?

I just got off the phone with my Dealer, I asked if order or production dates have been pushed back. He is not aware of any date changes but will go to the powers that be and confirm any new information. His information packet still shows the following dates for the 2015.

Currently I am driving a 2013 Fusion SE 1.6L Turbo and saving some cash while I wait for the new car to arrive. At that point I'll drive one and decide if i want the new 2015 or the outgoing 2014 model..... hurry up!!!

Just came back from the South Florida Auto Show in Ft. Lauderdale. The Ford rep lady that did a presentation on the 2015 Mustang said that "ordering will be available mid-June and the cars will start shipping September."

I've done some searching but haven't' seen this answered, sorry if I've missed it. Will the convertible be produced at the same time or is it coming after the coupe?

I'll be in the market next spring/summer and want the price gouging to be done by then. (if I decide to go with another convertible)

Whether you put a deposit down or not, or whether it is refundable or not, is between you and your dealership. I placed an order for my current 2011 with a $1,500 deposit and made our deal in writing before the car arrived. Upon delivery I put another $1,000 for a total of a $2,500 down payment and that was it. We made the trade-in deal at delivery as this was about 8-weeks after the initial order(October 2010).

Never put a non-refundable deposit on a car. Never. If they insist, find another dealer.

I had this same question and it seems we have some consistent info that it will not be produced at the same time. :thumbdown:

Last we heard, the coupe and convertible will be staggered launches about 3 months apart, so it won't be too far off. Definitely should not have to wait until Spring next year.

It is all late 15MY really. S550 convertible will not even be available at launch.

Remember development is in progress. Much can happen and things do change. That’s all I will say about this.

Yes.

Also it is possible to negotiate a deal better then X-Plan. Mention x-plan at the end.

Not an expert, but, I think that is the internal Ford syntax for identifying the last date that they begin a 2014 model year (MY) mustang order. In other words, June 20 is the very last date that they will start a 2014 Mustang.
