So now the allocation is the problem. The dealer I went to is indeed small, and probably wasn't selling a lot of Mustangs in the past. Guess realistically if I want to get a car before next Jan is to either buy a stock or cancel this order and redo at a larger dealer that has allocation. Not necessarily. Priority codes are dealer-specific, not universal. 13 does NOT mean that everyone in the country with codes 10-12 gets built before you. It means that every car your dealer has ordered with a 10-12 DOES get built before you.
Right now they are prioritizing retail orders, so you have that in your favor, but you need to know if your dealer has any allocation available. Sounds like he might not, since others are sailing from order to VIN in a few days and into production in less than a month. (Hard to watch while I sit here at Day 105 of my journey, but that's another story.)
I need to find a dealer that is willing to get me a stock car at Xplan price... one told me they could only do xplan to special orders, coz Mustang is so hot now...
