My "Ordered" Car

Still have to sign off on it and give them a deposit. I'm doing this through email because I'm on the road. Dealer wanted $2500 non-refundable. I said no way, I'll give you a grand, I'm not tying up that amount for who knows how long. He claims to be checking for me, we'll see, some Ford Dealer will be happy to take my money on my terms. He also tells me my $750 Ford Private Cash is not valid on the 2015 but that will likely change by the time the cars show up...whenever that will be.


Signed the confirmation, gave him $1K deposit. Waiting for submitted order confirmation. Now I wait, and wait....and wait

First post - Lurking for a while. Just put my order in. Spoke with the Inventory Manager and he was very upfront and cool. He also said that the "Retail" orders will possibly be built after the first batch of "Stock" orders. Xplan pricing without a deposit.

OK so I have to update my order. I ended up having a chance to change a few things before the order was placed since the guy at the dealership who actually puts the orders in is on vacation until tomorrow morning.

My updated order with a few changes:

2015 Mustang GT Premium (401A) in Ingot Silver including:

- GT Performance Package
- Premier Trim with Color Accent Group
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Reverse Park Assist (why not)
- Voice-Activated NAV System

Had to go with the Performance Package and when I finally found good pictures of the Ingot Silver w/ Performance Pack (the Ford site tool looks like crap with the colors), I immediately started drooling :hail:.

I'm pretty excited to get back into a Mustang! My kids are all old enough to ride in the front seat or drive themselves so this is practical again. My first car was a 66 straight 6 painted Poppy Red at the original dealership so Competition Orange with the raven black interior it is!

Nothing has been scheduled so I doubt any dealer has mismanaged a customers expectations by giving a estimated date of arrival.
